Is this a serious question or do you just tool around message boards to shit on music other people like because reasons?
it's a legitimate question. I just listened to a couple songs and most of them sound just like distortion and mostly ambient noise. I can't even compare it to anything other than maybe some OLD MAN GLOOM sections. I never said it was bad just curious if its all like that but I could be getting them mixed up with wolves in the throne room? Also are you just a tool that assumes because someone asks a question about music you like, you fly off the handlebar because of reasons?

is this the band that does nothing but make distortion?

When I read the topic I thought Unsolved Mysteries was a band I hadn't heard of because why would that show be in a vinyl forum.
It forever shall remain a mystery

Alright, I'm just going to say it, I hate TSY, like A types, and thought Magnetic North was great.

I'm gonna post this here cause I don't wanna clutter up the boards, but I'm getting extremely furious with vinyl collecting. At this point I buy probably 90% of my records online. Almost all of them NEVER come in good shape. Between people not writing fragile and just the negligence of USPS, I really can't handle spending hard earned money on records that shows up damaged. Today was really the last straw, when I ordered the Noname record for a second time since my first had a seam split/ripped jacket. My second one shows up in worse condition than the last with seam splits on all the jackets and corner bends. I know a lot of people are gonna be like "Vinyl should be about the music, who cares about seam splits." Let me be real here, at the end of the day, this is an investment. Granted I never wanted to sell my collection but if an emergency happened, I'm sitting on thousands of dollars. Buying rare records is an investment and has always been a reason I gravitated towards this hobby, at the same time I get to enjoy a hobby based around music. But the enjoyment has really gone away, like I haven't even had a record player in months since my old one broke, but I keep buying since I had the intention of buying a new record player soon. Maybe this is all my fault for going media mail on my shipments, but at the same time, I've never had a problem till recently. And maybe I feel this way since I'm just stacking records and have no way to listen to them.
Regardless, what I'm getting at with this is, I need opinions. Should I just call it quits? Is there anyone else feeling this way. And having issues with receiving records in the mail? And I hope I don't come off as whiney, to be honest I've had a tough month. I got really sick and then my car shitted on me and it's gonna cost a grand to fix, which I won't have all the funds for that till Friday. It's like vinyl collecting made me happy and helped with depression, but lately it's been more of a gamble. Everytime I open a package, I expect the worse and still get disappointed when it's the worse. Anyways, thanks to whoever reads this and helps me out, I really just need peace of mind, but at the same time, I'm paper thin close to calling it quits on vinyl collecting.
I have I think about 800 records 99% all purchased online and I think maybe 4 have arrived with damage. I also want to say I think 3 of 4 of them were from DHL because they are terrible.

I totally get it, I was only commenting on the suggestion to cancel and then place the order again
When I said you could probably cancel them and replace them I never once meant "be a asshole while doing it." Just merely asking "hey I really don't want to cause too much inconvenience but since you can't combine them would it be possible to cancel my first order and I will replace the order with the new album you guys put up! Thank You!"

But like also it's a fundraiser for a dude who died so maybe don't be a pain in the fucking ass about it?
its not being a pain in the ass, they aren't going to make money off shipping. If double shipping stops someone from wanting to place another order then its worth it because in the end they would get more money.

you guys could have just canceled the first order and replaced one. I am sure they wouldn't deny you from doing that.

For anyone that missed the thread, I had a buyer contact me through Discogs about buying an expensive record. After shipping it to him he complained it was damaged and filed a dispute with paypal. Paypal decided he could return it for a refund. Paypal tracks the package and issues the refund when it is delivered. He sent me an empty box. Avoid! There's a thread about it here

just out of curiosity why didnt you leave him a bad review? there hasnt been any negative feedback for him in over 6 months. Fuck this guy because I can see the older negative ones, I am just curious as to why you didn't leave one.

Vc clear checking in, there are now 12 left, so I wouldn't wait if you want to be part of the members-only club

let's just hope the vinyl release isn't delayed till 2019.

this RSD is a horrible year for metal, hardcore or anything in that field.

New pink/black variant going up now.
Looks like an edition of
180 or 200.500.
the new color is hideous I'm going to pass because of this. oh well looks like I missed out. But also since equalvisions never sent me my first 3 albums that I ordered online when they first went up. I had to call them months after asking where they were and they said they oversold them. This was even after they said they are putting up extras at a specific time and sold them. I wonder how my order slipped through all that. Fuck merch now and equal visions since they are in the same office.

Is there a better example of lemmings on the board than this thread?
"This sucks!"
"Yeah!"
"Fuck Underoath"
"Trash!"
"No guys this is actually good I convinced myself"
"Yeah!"
"Go Underoath!"
"It's great!"
I am firmly sticking to its garbage. Something that hasn't been mentioned are the childishly plain lyrics, "Take the keys to my car, drive really far, far away......" You have to be fucking kidding me.

I don't think I've ever witnessed a worse vocalist. Everyone he gave the mic to was better than him.
