My music exposure is very large, i just don't like their particular sound from what i have heard.

Not even close, i love punk, doom, grind, hardcore, southern, spacerock, metal. Anything rock oriented i guess, but i just can't understand these guys. Converge is my favorite band to give an idea.

do people actually like this band?? i ordered the re release deathwish did with the baisley artwork and i think it is absolutely horrible. Like worst album ive ever listened to.

I never said "I wish everything pressed was limited to 500." I posted that because hot topic said there were only X amount. So people who wanted the record when it was sold out, most likely piad more for it thinking there would not be another option. However, they are goign to repress is, so I am sharing the information so others don't pay unecessary amounts for it.

I am not tearing anybody apart, I am just leting others know that a repress is coming, and that they shouldnt spend unecesarry money because they are repressing it.

this version is going to end up in the bargain bin like all the disney and misfits records that are always priced down because they carried to many. Definitely the buy 1 get 1 for 1$. I can't wait!

Then they need to remove the word Limited from the listing for this album. Because those two statements contradict themselves. I'm not arguing your point the James I'm just saying the 2 are different.

And at least you have to agree it's misleading. You can't say the word LIMiTED, give a number, and expect people to not assume that is the pressing info.

I disagree with you because only a small amount of records actually are specifically numbered on the record. But that doesn't mean they aren't limited to a specific number. We always take the word of the information given, this time it was false.

I will apply it to another medium so you shallow minded people can understand it better. I have a Jacob Bannon artwork framed in my office called "death comes Brightly" numbered 1/50. Now i know there are a shitload of people who want this piece and its way more than the 50 pressed. I would be pissed as shit if just because people wanted more, Jacob said, "hey i printed an additional 100." That is completely unethical and completely unprofessional. He should print a similar one or a completely new one that fans of that one will like. Its just flooding the market for no reason. You cannot say that edition sizes don't matter or are stupid, because there are complete industries that 100% rely on saying this is LIMITED with only X printed. There have been countless lawsuits of artists printing over the edition size to make additional money for popular images. THAT IS WHY IT MATTERS!

Theres more than one reason to collect vinyl, and none of them are wrong. May be different than your's, but not wrong.

Also that doesn't give the impression that the first run is /1000 and that there will be another /1000 later making /2000. That to me and i am sure others, means a pressing of /1000. I understand travis usually avoids giving pressing information, but usually when he does that is somewhat accurate.

I agree with you randy and thank you for the well written response. However, something that says LIMITED EDITION clearly online, when its actually UNLIMITED, there is no excuse for. Its not travis fault I am just stating in general.
