Well there are only 1653 copies left. That's 350 sold since this morning. As they release further info on just what's included in the special edition, you might see sales speed up.

All proceeds will go to La Casa de la Cultura de la Calle (The Streets House of Culture) which is a nonprofit civil organization that seeks the social inclusion of kids with no homes by giving them art, music, theatre and photography classes.

Weird this isn't up on amazon.ca yet. I have my order in at 4ad but would cancel if it comes in cheaper (which it likely won't as I find amazon.ca now lists items expensive and drops the price slowly).

Wonder when the free test pressings of the RHP reissues will start showing up on eBay. If anyone that pre-ordered on 4ad wins one, post a pic. 

Substance is expanded to include songs the original pressing didn't have. I bought the only copy of this album that I have ever seen in the wild and will have to pick up this new pressing to get the extra songs. 

Do they charge upon ordering or upon shipping?

$42.10 to ship to Canada. I'd laugh but then I'd wouldn't be able to cry.  I'll wait for Amazon.

Thanks, but no thanks. I refuse to pre-order any vinyl ever from Amazon given that I believe I've had two Kozelek releases fall through with them so far.

Can't argue with that logic. Oh wait. Yes you can.  It isn't Amazon's fault if they don't get copies. They open things up for preorder and fulfill them based on what they get.

Local store here in Ottawa just posted a pic of RSD that's arrived and lo and behold a big white box appears.

According to United Pressing's instagram they are doing up Lou Reed's Transformer for Newbury. 

Yeah absolutely fantastic album (although I prefer Shallow Grave). And much better than his more recent stuff with a full band. I already have it so not going to bite.

After listening to it a few times, I ended up cancelling my preorder for the deluxe edition. Was going to come to $70 cdn and I just don't like the album enough. Might pick up the regular black pressing if it ends up growing on me.

So if 4ad is shipping preorders, wonder if that means they will be sending them out to distributors soon. I still have my preorders from amazon.ca and .com, so curious if the one or two copies they may get will also ship soon.

Got shipping confirmation for Live at Biko from Amazon.ca today. I feel like getting a Mark Kozelek lp from a major online retailer is a sign of the appocolypse or something.

While I'm not getting my hopes up (I have an order through amazon.ca and .com), it's at least a positive sign that pre-orders are so widespread. The fact that this is appearing on sites like B&N at least would indicate that some of these boxes will appear in the digital wild. I keep reminding myself that this is a 4ad release and not a Caldo Verde one.

I ordered from Amazon and have no such email.

I asked and the white vinyl is only going to be available in the bundle.

Shipping to Canada for the bundle was $18! With the Cdn dollar so low, this thing comes to about $7812.42 CDN. Oh well. Few artists I consider to be worth it but this guy I do.
