  1. Has anyone listened to the Fela Kuti 10" yet? How is it?
  2. Did that This Will Destroy You 10" end up coming out?
  3. haha, what did this save you, like $2? doesn't seem worth the time.
  4. I actually don't have my records in-hand yet, but I'm gonna make an educated guess: Archer.
  5. I need to find someone to come count and catalog my collection on discogs.
  6. Mark my words skyscraper, someday you will look back on this thread and shake your head.
  7. There is really only one worth writing about for me: At The Drive-In - Acrobatic Tenement
  8. For the record we are putting out, we had the vinyl mastering done by Dave at Magneto, lacquers cut by Salt, and pressing will be done by Archer.
  9. Jake, do you think you'll have vinyl by the Sioux Falls show, or probably not?
  10. Boy Sets Fire - The Day The Sun Went Out LP Gospel - The Moon Is a Dead World LP C'mon guys!
  11. Looks like some new screenprints, probably printed at Burlesque Design, and probably to be sold either on tour or on DW in the future.
  12. I would like to invest in a copy of this thread printed across a stoughton tip-on gatefold jacket.
  13. I think it's a strange concept, because I've always felt 100% of the spare merch money in peoples' pockets at shows should go to the touring band, they need all the help they can get out there.
  14. Hmm, I have mixed feelings about this. I think it's awesome to help a label out when they are in need, but I'm not sure this is the way to go about it. It seems like at some point asking so much from the fans, you are kind of taking advantage of the extreme loyalty some here at this board have to the label/site. Like someone mentioned, it's sort of like you are taking on business investors, but not giving them equity in the company. Why not look for more traditional funding, like venture capitalism? Why not give away the digital catalog for free (a la Magic Bullet) to build interest in your roster. It seems crazy, but people download the shit anyway, might as well embrace the future. Another thing that may be hurting the SH releases is the constant deep discounts and clearance prices on the records. When the records are constantly marked down to as low as $5 in the future, it doesn't really encourage anyone to buy them at full price when they first come out. These are all just thoughts that came to mind when I heard you were having a rough year.
  15. Guess I'm the only one that thinks this shirt is just a bit cheesy.
  16. I never got my copy. Agreed, FUCK Hyperrealist. It's amazing what people are ok with, I mean, could that release have gone any worse? There are plenty of one-man operations out there that perform perfectly (Init Records, I'm looking at you). Fuuuuuuck Hyperrealist.
  17. Virgil, my name is Mitch, I run OMGPosters.com, Postersandtoys.com, curate tour seires' for bands, and do a bunch of other poster stuff. I actually put together the Tulsa (orange/brown one) and the Iowa City (farmhouse) Murder By Death posters for them. If you ever feel the need, hit me up, I'm positive I could help.
  18. Sure haven't. That is interesting news.
  19. Anyone have any experience with Archer? How are they? Looking to possibly work with them. Thanks!!
