  1. I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but has anyone had any experience doing lathe cuts for home recordings? I've been researching because me and a couple of buddies were really interested in doing some lo-fi lathecuts for our local bands as a hobby and to make a little money on the side.
  2. Has anyone heard of or tried buying records from Goodwill's auction website? I've seen a first press of Descendent's - Milo Goes to College allong with 15 other misc. 80s records go for like 50 bucks, but it always seems that the prices go up ridiculously high too quickly.
  3. Hey man I understand you guys enjoy being pricks but I'm new to owning vinyl alright? I'm sure you didn't come out of the womb crushing suitcase turntables with your baby fists. I apologize if spinning records is a spectator sport, I'll make sure you to leave it to the old pros like you. And to everyone else who was actually helpful and answered my question, thank you.
  4. I love Title Fight, but I'm not feeling the sound on vinyl, plus I just bought an Omnichord for 3 bones so the checking account is running low. Anyways for sale is: Title Fight - Shed (Red) Tour Exclusive /300 Title Fight - Floral Green (Floral Color) /500 PM me an offer, plus if anyone has got Nouns - Still Bummed or Elvis Depressedly - Holo Pleasures I would be super willing to drop the price, thanks!
  5. Yeah, I missed out on a chance to grab it at one of Mat's shows and I've been looking for it ever since.
  6. Would really like to buy a nouns - still bummed 10" or ED holo pleasures 7", any color. Those bands are my babies and if anyone is willing to help a brotha out or show me somewhere I can find any of these I would much appreciate.
  7. I've got myself a DJ Technics SL 1200 (thanks to my mother's old hobbies), and I have it hooked up to my tiny kit guitar amp so far. I mean it sounds fine and I'll get some nice speakers from Goodwill soon probably, but I was looking at portable record players and of the reviews, all the trendy kids seem to like the sound and everything on the Crosley's (thanks Urban Outfitters), but I notice some older folk say the sound is shit. And I've been looking at some on EBay, like the Fisher-Price ones, and other older portable record players, even the battery operated ones (think Moonrise Kingdom). How's the sound on portable record players? Is there really any point if I own $500 turntables other than for ease of use and novelty?
