  1. The Criterion version of Rushmore is awesome and relatively hard to come by (it's not as readily available as the other Anderson films). I'd highly recommend someone picking that up - I love mine.
  2. Damn, so do this repress includes the hand-stitched covers as well? I just bought one off of eBay a few months ago, figuring any subsequent represses would probably not include that aspect.
  3. Damn, I just bought that Honor System superset thing just before Christmas.
  4. So many people are preoccupied with their various Christmas-related celebrations and festivities that there are far fewer people hanging around on the internet to do last-minute auction bidding.
  5. Truth. Ghost Stories is by far my favourite Lawrence Arms album, which is saying a lot.
  6. The Crane Wife is okay, but I still prefer Picaresque. I love me some Engine Driver.
  7. I'm tempted to buy some stuff, but there's nothing that I really want and thus I might as well leave them for bigger fans.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com/Neutral-Milk-Hotel-Holland-b-w-Engine-picture-disc-7_W0QQitemZ260324870626QQihZ016QQcategoryZ306QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem BIN for $500? I know it's somewhat rare to come across, but there were still 1000+ of them pressed.
  9. These do look awesome. I'm definitely going to have to order something during the 12 days of Christmas sale now.
  10. The other person on the commentary track was Rob Kellenberger. It would've been awesome if it was Dan, though. But, yeah, let me reiterate that the commentary on the DVD is great.
  11. I went to an Okkervil River show a month ago October by myself - that's how much I love this band. Usually I despise going to shows alone, and it was at a mediocre venue, but it was still among the best shows I've seen. Sheff and co. have so much enthusiasm, it's really infectious. As for best albums, my personal view is that Black Sheep Boy is the best, and then beyond that depends on my mood. Every album of theirs is great, but I think I'd list Down The River... as my second favourite.
  12. As far as I know, every version is still available. You can get the silver and/or gold versions at Temporary Residence (www.temporaryresidence.com) and the Orange version from the Thursday site (www.merchdirect.net/Thursday/Vinyl/Envy_Split_Release_Vinyl?productid=10030)
  13. In Versus God's individual listing it says: "Pressing info: 300 silver vinyl 700 silver/black a-side b-side vinyl"
  14. $15.50 and $20.50. 15. Holy shit, I'm the person who won the Single File test press! I can't believe this - I've never won any sort of contest before (except for a gift card to a shitty restaurant once, but that's neither here nor there). I actually signed up for this site just so that I could order the Broken Van and Single File LPs (though I was too late with Broken Van and ended up getting it from Asian Man). Thanks so much! I sympathize with you folks who would've liked the Honor System test press as well - I've found that those of us who love Single File often seem to have a really strong emotional connection with the album that somehow extends beyond the songs themselves. So rest assured that this isn't wasted on me, because Single File is one of my most cherished albums of all time.
  16. Sorry if this a dumb/newbie question, but here goes: I came across this page (http://www.vinylcollective.com/2008/08/11/po-the-broadways-broken-van-lp-green-vinyl/) for the Broken Van preorder, and though I realize I'm a few days late to the proverbial party, when I try to click on the link to go to the album it just takes me to the main store. And it doesn't show up in searches at all. So am I to assume that's Vinyl Collective's stock of it is gone? I know I can still order it from Asian Man, by their outside-of-US shipping is insanely expensive for small orders (it's my only criticism of Asian Man, in fact) so I was hoping to get it here.
