i may be in the minority but i thought this record was absolute garbage. the singer's voice absolutely sucks and the best thing about the album was the last track. definitely not what i was expecting.

heath is also leaving the band after the warped tour. the second best redeeming quality of that band just left. first redeeming quality is the immortal jason black on bass, of course.

i can think of a lot of bands that caleb sound like, but honestly, four year strong is not one of them. regardless, my point still stands about the gimmick. "heavy pop-punk" is becoming the new neon band craze.

yep! mentioned the vinyl in the original post too - excited to see how the band's future shapes up. they got a new bass player too, kinda weird since no one has said much about it. i know brad and he hasn't said a word about it - makes me wonder if he was kicked out or left willingly. part of me thinks he was kind of a stop gap to keep the band going.

if you played both bands' records and asked me which was which, i wouldn't be able to tell. so for the band to talk shit on four year strong doesn't quite make sense. this whole "hardcore influenced pop punk" gimmick needs to stop.

unfortunately for me, living in new jersey, there are ZERO quality mexican places. all i've got are chipotle-type places. for shame.

subject says it all. kinda surprising given the other bands on the current roster, but i think this could be a good thing for both the swellers and fueled by ramen. new 7" later in the month with their new record coming out in september with paper + plastick doing the vinyl for both. a paramore/swellers tour is also in the works.

what the fuck kind of attitude is that to take dude? this was a big deal a few months ago, nothing came of it, peeps got disappointed. a random on a board saying it can give hope, but yeah the "scene zine" guy might have a heads up on it. he wasn't shitting on your neck, simply telling people he's heard nothing of it and not to get their hearts glowing on a reunion that might not happen. i don't spend every waking moment on this board so i don't know what has and hasn't been said. i frankly had no clue there was mention of a reunion other than what someone told me with confidence. and just the way scott denied hearing of such news "it ain't true" came across to me as him being playing the high and mighty card and that no one knows of something he doesn't. my bad.

Haha, we went through this a few months back and nothing ever happened. As far as I know, it ain't true. :shrug: i have it on pretty good authority that they're getting back together/recording as we speak and aren't officially announcing it until one of the members' child is born. but i guess mr. scene zine knows more about this kind of stuff than i. :-/

so much for hot water music going back to being a main project for these guys. jason black in senses fail, chuck and chris doing their own thing. ah well. at least the original further seems forever is getting back together!

also, if your tradelist is fairly small..you can get a ton of the hot water and related groups off of no idea for cheap.
