  1. Leaving now for Twelve Hour Turn in St. Augustine. Can't decide on more 12HT tomorrow or I Hate Myself.
  2. Hell yeah, this band was great. Never saw them live, but I loved the sicsic cd. Will order on Friday!
  3. Ha, I guess the site is still up: http://www.southern.com/southern/label/DIS/complete.html
  4. Also, the 2 7" LP had 3 "first" presses according to Dischord. The red cover was the domestic first press, the blue cover was the UK press, and the gray cover was the German press. The second had a blue cover and the third had a light green cover. Also, I printed this info form the Southern website, not Dischord, in May of 2001.
  5. The Dischord Pressing info I have stops at the 5th press of Out Of Step, but no numbers are listed except for 3500 first press and 3000 second press. I got this from the Dischord site when they still had their pressing info posted.
  6. Really? You are just outside of Birmingham (an hour, hour and a half tops). That is an easy drive. Orlando is the closest larger city to where I live, and I am lucky because if bands DO tour Florida, Orlando is usually where they go. I have talked to bands about a suggested Florida string that goes Atlanta, Jax, Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Gainesville, Tallahassee, and then Birmingham, which gives an easy in and out to Florida, but nobody likes it. Basically, bands feel that by going to Florida you have to back track and it is a waste of their time. Which is stupid, considering Florida is like the 5th or 6th most populous state with 19 million people in it. I would think bands would WANT to come to Florida.
  7. Styrofoam That was the first to jump into my head.
  8. I will be there. I used to live with the singer for Nights on Fire. This MIGHT be my kids first punk rock show.
  9. This album really sets a new bar for these guys. Sincerely was fantastic, but on this their sound, in my opinion, has gone more "indie rock" while still maintaining a fresh take on things. On top of that, lyrically they are amazing. Live, they are amazing. Seriously, I have said it for a couple of years now, and will continue to say it, one of the few bands in modern hardcore that I think are doing something unique. Their albums are going to stand the test of time.
  10. The best thing for you to do is to read up on things and play the market with imaginary money for 6 months. Track your buys and sells, what made you want to buy and sell them, what their P/E and expected dividends were, etc. After 6 months, you will have an idea if you can do it or not. Also, try not to read too many financial books, as almost every one of them tells you something different. I played around on a spreadsheet for a while, than put my learned knowledge to test. I bought 100 shares of apple at $105 a share, currently trading at $274, and I bought 1000 shares of Quantum Data Storage (QTM) at $1.05 a share, it is currently at $2.24 a share. My most recent purchase was for Citi ©, I bought 900 shares at $3.52, it si currently at $3.54. They have begun paying back there bail out money and 2 years ago the price was at $54 a share. I figure if they pay off the money and have a solid plan to maintain their business, just through their EPS over the next year or so should see them back close to $10, IMO. This last quarter was the first time in over a year they were back to being positive EPS. If I am wrong, I lose $3500. If I am right and in 5 years they are back to the $50 range, I have $45,000.
