I ended up buying a copy at one of the shows and I totally forgot until I got a e-mail shipping notification that I had pre-ordered one as well
So I have a White with Black Splatter copy available to anyone who wants it for cost.

I'm still showing Seafoam as available,
Or at least it no longer says Sold Out on the item page. Not sure what happens when you try to checkout.

I just grabbed a Seafoam copy at ~11:15 pm.

He's not a child, so I doubt that
... are we talking about the same Jason Tate?
-
God, I could tell by posts in other threads there were a bunch of shitty posters on this site and this thread really is the icing on the cake
-
this isn't true.
I'm not defending the article - just some of the quotes that aren't true.
Now that you've brought it up twice now....
I don't understand. What's not true?
-
My opinion of Jason Tate is that he is the equivalent of a bought politician. He doesn't always know what or why he's saying something, just that people want him to say it and that they give him things (free music and privileged information mostly) for saying it. To the bands AP.net covers, he comes off as an "I got your back" buddy. They like that, and I don't blame him for it... after all, its a tried and true business model.
The problem I have with him, as I also have with many bought-politicians, is that I never can tell if he truly believes what he is saying or not. And that annoys me to no end.
-
If he doesn't take you up on that offer I would
Sure thing. I'll post here in this thread whatever I end up doing.

holy shit, those records look incredible. starting to regret sleeping on this.
You have another chance on Saturday! But if you meant that you are wanting the splatter variant, I might be willing to sell you mine. I'm leaning towards getting one of the 2nd pressings and deciding when it gets here which variant I like better.

Just got mine. It came with 2 CDs, some stickers, a T2 card, a poster, and the handwritten note.
-
Ugh, of course mine is scheduled to be delivered the day after I leave to go out of town for a week...
Also, I might pick up one of the new colors next week if I like what I see. If that's the case, I'll make my splatter set available to anyone on here who missed out and wants it.

Got my tracking number at 3am this morning. Missed seeing a few meteors while checking that email.

The article is so poorly written that the only thing suspending my distrust in its accuracy is the strong hope I have that it's true.
-
Someone do House of Fools- Live and Learn and match it to the album art. I'll show it to my buddy and he might be able to convince em to press it
I am a firm believer that they need to be on vinyl. The last album they did was amazing.
Fellas fellas fellas. Let's make this happen. Please.

Days Away - Mapping an Invisible World
Having the original artwork on a vinyl cover would make me very happy, as well.

BFB, whenever I see your name..I think of the song "Best Friend's Brother (BFB)" by Victoria Justice.
I just needed to put it out there.
Just looked that song up. And well... it's... something?

I don't get what cartel thinks they can do that will be so awesome for their pressing of it. Only thing I could think of would be to bundle it with some stupid t-shirt that 95% of people wouldn't want anyways.
Way back in the day I had a Cartel t-shirt. It was quite possibly the softest shirt ever made. Then I lost it... I think I left it in a hotel in Nashville.

i'm pretty sure that's what they did in their post on AP (which they tweeted a link to). it was very civil and they said they had no ill will towards ETR and that people should purchase the album from them if they wanted.
I guess. I'd just prefer apologies not to be soaked in whine.

somewhere on the internet there is footage of me and a friend of mine drunk on a street singing honestly. at the top of our lungs.
I must see this. Must.
Shit I'm old
Don't even talk, son.

Although I did not want to resort to posting screen caps , this matter has already become far more public than it should have.
I am not sure which member answers or checks the facebook account but based on this response which was AFTER the private message sent to will on FB.
I 100% agree that facebook is not a great way to get in touch with anyone especially a "public figure" sich as the singer of a popular band but no other public info for the band was available at the time and it was my first attempt at contact but that message did say "read" back in fen 2013 so it was seen although he may not have bothered to take it seriously. Regardless, after that private message to will's personal account, I WAS able to get a response from the band on their band account which was how the initial contact with their manager STARTED.
I then had a few back and fourth's via email with their manager and then a phone conversation in which the whole "tour variant" conversation happened and the band being very interested & excited in finally getting this pressed. After the phone convo, I then sent a follow up email which recapped all the details of what we planned to do as their manager requested (pressing info, which plant was pressing, cost per record, color variants etc....) I sent the same follow up email 3 times after that which my only response was "Hey Ross, sorry for the delay, hope to get back to you soon" which in no way seemed negative since the response came a month after the phone convo and I assumed he spoke with the band about it at that point. In the phone conversation it was also mentioned that I was told by Epic that another label was in line for the license and if I did not move forward in the next month or two then they would grant them the license. Once i mentioned that to their manager, who openly stated "we would love to get this pressed but simply do not know how to go about getting the license" I was then told to get the wheels in motion if another company was in line and he would get back to me in regards to the tour variant proposal.
Unless their manager refers to himself in the third person then someone else in the band answered this and sent me his contact info which was how we initially STARTED talking, prior to the phone conversation mentioned above
As of tuesday, I have been approached by a website so do an interview about this whole situation and give my side of the story. I may provide more screen caps of the emails and what not , if need be in that interview. I am scheduled to be interviewed tomorrow and hope to have it up by the weekend at some point.
In regards to Nic posting on here, that is VERY cool of you and wish that I had reached out to you in the first place as you seem to be rational and a good guy. In no way was i trying to do this behind your back and offered you as many copies at label cost in exchange for your support of the release in order to have the band make some money on the re-issue which most of my competitors do not even attempt to do. I am really sorry that all this drama has gone down with the release & thank you for writing and releasing one of the best pop punk albums of the 2000's

I'm pretty butthurt over the fact that When Paula Sparks and California are on different sides. There goes that smooth transition...
