  1. Lots of info on Heartbreaker Deluxe here: http://cdon.no/musikk/adams_ryan/heartbreaker_-_deluxe_box_edition_(4lp+dvd)-36535720
  2. Looks like the deluxe Heartbreaker is going to come soon-ish - 4LP + a DVD. Amazon.de has a listing, but no price or availability.
  3. Woah... that's kinda/sorta my local shop... in that my local shop is an hour away. I live in the middle of nowhere.
  4. Of note.. I got mine today. The packaging, while unique, is kinda ridiculous. Tough to pull the records out and has velcro at the top to keep them in! HA!
  5. So, I can't imagine you didn't set up a Credit Card at all. I'm pretty sure they require it. As for how it works, they scan your email for receipts from participating retailers, or in Amazon's case, you link your account. When their algorithm decides that it is a good time to request a price-drop refund, it will request one for you on your behalf. Then, once the refund in given, they take 25% of that refund as a commission. So, 25% of money you likely wouldn't have anyway. However, if you get friends to sign up, for each friend, they take 5% off of their commission for a 6-month period. Presently, I'm now at 0% and they're not making a dime off me, but still getting me refunds! I'm not sure why they didn't request a refund for @curtis as well. I frankly don't think they should have for me, but again, I'm not asking any questions.
  6. Saul Williams' sixth studio album, MartyrLoserKing, comes out in about a week, and you can check it out now on NPR. Saul is pretty damn amazing, and Amazon's got the LP for a ridiculous $7.99. Great interview with him on Okayplayer about this record: http://www.okayplayer.com/news/saul-williams-mlk-new-lp-martyr-loser-king.html
  7. It really was pretty awesome. Perhaps you should post your referral link so that you can get your % down to zero, and to help folks following this thread in the future.
  8. No idea... I am not putting it past Amazon/Paribus to have gotten the CD/LP price mixed up, so I'm not asking any questions. All I know is that I somehow got this crazy $13 refund.
  9. Um... so I just had the craziest thing happen. Apparently, for at least a split second, Amazon had the 3LP version for $14.99, and since I had signed up with Paribus, which tracks my purchases and asks for price drop refunds on my behalf, I just got $13.00 refunded, and have only paid $14.99 for this 3LP set. BOOM! BTW, Paribus has now saved me about $30 in the past 2 weeks, after months of nothing... so, it does work.
  10. Originally a free download and a limited cassette, Grimes' debut, Geidi Primes, is going to be issued on vinyl for the first time on February 5, 2016, on Arbutus Records. It is not listed on the label website yet, so no further details as to pressing number, weight, etc. Description: It has a strange air of being created unconsciously while the artist herself was asleep. It is a vastly intriguing set of pop tunes highlighted by its amazing fifth and sixth songs: "Avi" and "Feyd Rautha Dark Heart", which are each frighteningly reminiscent of an unaccountable psychic experience you may have never had. It seems like an album made for very tall people about what it's like to be very small. It calls to mind the glowering of a child king amidst the many vestments and decorations of his coronation. Listening to Geidi Primes is what its like to suddenly realize you are being watched while taking a cold shower... on the moon. Available for preorder: Amazon Bull Moose
  11. I 100% agree. ALSO, NPR is going to have a full Tiny Desk Concert coming Dec. 21... looks amazing!
  12. Signed copies are back on lightning deal! Really, this record is so damn good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7e8FLOCcls
  13. Discogs is saying that the 3LP version is limited to 1000 copies. Just in case you were curious as to the print run.
  14. Again, SIGNED LIGHTNING DEAL IS BACK!!! (likely $21.99 rather than $29.99) It starts at 1:05 pm EST...
  15. SIGNED LIGHTNING DEAL IS BACK!!! ($21.99 rather than $29.99) It is going to end at 5 pm EST, or until they are all claimed.
  16. Just got a shipping update from Amazon: Estimated arrival date: January 22, 2016 I'm ok with that too... I'll actually have some money by then! Not great if you were planning on giving it as a present though.
  17. I know, RIGHT?!?!? I love signed LPs... and being a father to a young child, I don't get to as many shows as I once did. I love opportunities like this.
  18. I would argue that Orion is simply for the completist. Never really got into the record, but glad I have it. Others may certainly disagree. It's certainly not as good as some of this other genre-jumping releases, such as 1984, which I would generally say that most people really dig (and right fully so).
  19. I had a vague recollection that it was a one-and-done thing. However, I just did an email search, found the original preorder email, and it doesn't say anything about that. So... fingers crossed, Ryan will realize that he could make a stack of cash, and it'll be reissued.
  20. I'd imagine we'll see RNR pop up sometime in the future, but III/IV... that's a bit of a long shot.
  21. Jacksonville City Nights is going to be in stock on Amazon on Dec. 5. I wish I knew more about whether these old records popping up were actual represses, or whether they are found stock. 29 popped up for a while, but now its much less available, and pushing $30 in some places...
