Johan Angergård just won't take a break. After releasing (IMHO) the stellar Legends record, It's Love, he is back again with a new Club 8 LP, Pleasure, to be released on Nov. 20 on Labrador Records. Their vinyl releases are rarely over 500 copies (with the exception of the Radio Dept records), so if you are interested, I'd order early rather than later. Now if only they'd release a new Acid House Kings record... If you are into Swedish electro-pop (like me), then this is news. After years of 7" singles and one-off downloads, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings are finally releasing a legit holiday record. This announcement comes with an additional, less celebratory announcement, that Sharon's cancer has returned. She seems to be suggesting that she's going to perform through chemo - hopefully that helps her get through it. That sad news aside, this is going to be the Christmas release of the season. I know it's early to be thinking about that... but it would also be great to show Sharon some love for all the great music she's put out. Ever, ever so slightly cheaper at Amazon. But... that's not why I'm posting. A couple years back, my best friend got engaged. He happened to have this record on while doing so (a record I had given him!), and I got a bit of an idea. I e-mailed Yo La Tengo, with no real expectation of hearing back, and whaddaya know? They wrote me back, and helped me arrange getting a copy signed and drawn on (people heading into the church!) for their wedding present. Such nice people.

Anybody else concerned with the velvet cover and all the lint it creates? I just got it in the mail at lunch, and the clear sleeve is caked in lint..

Up on Amazon too. (Amazon UK too) Wasn't quite sure how limited this would be, based on it not being a normal Sigur Ros release. The Angels of the Universe release didn't hang around very long on vinyl, but that Sigur Ros connection wasn't very substantial (only 2 songs). I'd be interested to know the number for this... And I really dig that song. Can't wait for more.

When you get it, you'll see why. It comes with deluxe 180g vinyl (2x LP & etched 10"), thick card dual gatefold sleeve with embossed artwork on the front and rear, and a center insert with a single sided 10" for 'Mílanó' (other side contains an etching).

Cold Roses has popped up on Amazon as well. Must have been fully repressed. They have $10 copies of 29 still too.
