WAXWORKS RECORDS Official Mega-Thread
4LPBox replied to museummouth's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I ordered Re-animator and Day of the Dead from Waxwork when they came out and it was a breeze. It's hard to anticipate things from a small business perspective. Hell, Obamacare website? Not getting political at all, but it seems even the most advanced can get unanticipated volume that they didn't prepare for. As much as the launch was a trainwreck, it gave a lot visibility to this release and Waxwork. This was their 5th release? I think. This was by far their most popular and the fact that the complete soundtrack was not available on vinyl before. In all honesty, I'm glad the last few years have spawned new labels like Waxwork, One Way Static, Death Waltz...Waxwork will get it together especially with the nice chunk of change they made on this release. -

This added some interesting entertainment to start my weekend. I'm happy I at least got the splatter. -

Is there a number on how many pressings of the variants besides the liquid? -

DoubleLP, I think you may have misunderstood. The 65 dollar version has liquid in it and the others are just colors of the vinyl. -

I agree. I'm not expecting it to be peanuts, but won't be happy if it is much higher than the others. I don't fault them for the problems though. I've seen it happen to any small label that releases something a lot of people are on top of. -
Has anyone ordered from Doomed.com before? I always see stuff I want but haven't pulled the trigger yet from them.

The sealed Hvarf Heim is a coke bottle green color.

Sorry. Should have given more details. I will take some pictures and load them. The package I received for this contest was the test pressing of Valtari, a sealed 2012 RSD release of Hvarf Heim, and a limited print of Valtari. I already have a copy of the 2012 Hvarf Heim, so that could go with the test pressing. I apologize for not having a list of things I'm looking for. Some of the things I look for more often are psych, German Psych bands, metal, krautrock, doom. I'm always looking for Phish vinyl, Electric Wizard, Sleep, live Pearl Jam, Rise Above record releases... I apologize I don't have a list prepared. I will get some pics up of the test pressing.

I won this in a contest and never wanted to sell it. There may be people that appreciate Sigur Ros a little more than myself. It's in mint condition and played once. If anyone is interested in trades, let me know.

I have a TP of Sigur Ros - Valtari

Sorry for jumping in here late. First time poster. I was upset because I missed the initial pre order for Manipulator. I waited till the release and picked it up in Princeton. Mine is red. I saw someone mention that one record store had just red? Obviously I lucked out, but in general I don't have a problem with randomly inserting ltd. editions.- 296 replies
