I gotta step back in to defend Drew. Of all the guys in the band he’s always been the most personable to me. First time I saw them live back in 2002 I think I got into the venue just as they finished their set (traffic was a bitch). When I mentioned to him after the show that I came just to see them (they opened fer Ozomatli) he gave me his email address and guest listed me fer four or five shows over the years. I’ve shared drinks with the guy and he was always so gracious toward me.

Sounds like you might’ve caught him on an off moment.

While I hope most of the money will go toward new stuff from them I must agree this is not cool.

My local store had at least four people camped out at 10am on Friday. That’s crazy.

Got off work and swung by my local store and it was damn near wiped out of RSD titles...except the ones that will sit on the shelf fer a short eternity.

I was unable to make RSD again this year (stupid job), but I’m lookin’ to find the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Steven Wilson, and AWOLNATION releases!

I might have to do this. I’ve loved this band since I used to talk to them on AOL IM back in like ‘98-99. Press They Sure Don’t Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To or the demos fer their unreleased album Forward and I will spend all my moneys!

A rumor I heard on a CRB group said to expect a 4 LP release of a show in maybe Oklahoma, Kansas, or maybe Texas I think. Would be the only release I care ‘bout.

I’ve wanted to continue to support 30StM since I got into them after hearin’ a demo of “Bhudda For Mary” on some ol’ Epic/Interscope promo CD and fell in love. The debut album is fantastic, ABL was strong, but they started their downhill slide with the second album. And things just continue to get worse. I like parts of “Walk On Water,” but overall it’s pretty bad.

...and to think I saw them like seven or eight times in support of their first album, and Jared Leto even began to recognize me at their shows...

Hopefully these last fer a spell. I’m on an expensive vacay right now and  with stupid X-mas right around the bend money is tight! But I love me some PTree and still hope we could at least get a proper reunion/farewell tour!

I both hope and don’t hope to see a new release from Rare Futures/HBSB. The original HBSB lathe sounds like absolute trash. I think I actually got a second copy of it (so whomever I purchased my copy from after market must have complained to Dan, but both copies sound like trash). But I’m curious to see the releases this year!

Curious to hear what’s gonna be released this year!

Yeah I just heard “Seven Sticks of Dynamite” today, but it didn’t do much fer my ears. I’d say it was only okay.

I dig the new single. Not all of it works, but overall I’d probably give it a B. I like it initially more than anythin’ from the second album.
