  1. Colored bundle here. Love the two Black Wing tracks, and Flenser rarely disappoints so I figure this Heat Dust is worth a chance.
  2. You think just something that anyone can edit so that it can get multiple opinions on things?
  3. That's valid. I'm only one man with very little time, and I think this is a decent start. If you want to start the better version I'd be happy to contribute more detailed info on the albums I have problems with.
  4. No offense to any of the people think this thread is "stupid", but you don't have to read it. In the first post I mentioned that this is based on opinion. I listen to music on a pretty revealing system so really noisy pressings, or flat/boring pressings are not worth listening to for me. This is no ways meant to be the Bible in regards to bad pressings, just people posting opinions and helpful info. I just bought the new Hayden record, Hey Love, and it's a bummer how noisy the pressing is, not pops and crackles, but full on tearing sound that makes it near unlistenable. I'm hoping it's just my copy, but I think it's worth mentioning. Also, I'll be updating the list soon, had a hectic holiday weekend so I'm catching up on some stuff.
  5. I love the Andy Stott and Caretaker stuff. Never been able to get into Burial for some reason. Haven't heard the rest of those... I also like Vessel and Forest Swords, which are in the same vein (to varying degrees).
  6. Everytime I post an update here I realize how bad I need an accountability partner... From the past three weeks... Hayden - Hey Love Elbow - The Take Off And Landing Of Everything Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Wilco - Sky Blue Sky Andrew Weathers Ensemble - Fuck Everybody, You Can Do Anything Danger Doom - The Mouse And The Mask Courtney Barnett - Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker (Reisssue) Ryan Adams - Ten Songs From Live At Carnegie Hall LP Hop Along - Painted Shut Glassjaw - Worship & Tribute (MOV) Jim O'Rourke - Simple Songs D'Angelo and The Vanguard - Black Messiah Marriages - Salome Songs Ohia - The Lioness Chelsea Wolfe - Unknown Rooms Body Songs - Stench Of Exist Balthazar - Thin Walls
  7. This has been spinning non-stop since I got it. It's a little outside what's usually posted here (vocals), but it's SO good. https://andrewweathers.bandcamp.com/album/fuck-everybody-you-can-do-anything Vinyl sounds good too.
  8. No problem! This is going to be really useful for me too.
  9. Yeah. Not a huge fan of that pressing either.
  10. OR you could order from here. Comes with instant DL link AND it's cheaper... https://anost.net/en/Products/Moon-Ate-the-Dark-Moon-Ate-the-Dark-I-II/
  11. Thanks. I'll check that out. That was based on what someone else had posted. I realize now that super general additions like that aren't helpful. I'll keep the list to specific items. Thanks.
  12. The Antler's Hospice, Glassjaw's Worship & Tribute and Volcano Choir's Repave. There's only a coupe records on Victory that I'd want, and they're a ways down my list. It seems like all those pop-punk labels couldn't care less about quality pressings though. They must assume everyone is listening on Crosely's.
  13. This is perfect guys, thanks. You've already saved me some cash on 3 records I had on my "to buy" list.
  14. Chances are you'll get a Columbia pressing.
  15. I'd love to have a running list of bad/disappointing pressings to help me avoid buying stuff that will never get any play. I'll keep the first post updated. 16. I'm rocking that Rogue Sphinx right now. It's powering some of the Wharfedale Denton 80th's. I love it! Really great amp, super versatile. But I agree with the others suggesting a cartridge upgrade first. I'd go Dynavector or Nagaoka before I'd Ortofon. I have a Nagaoka MP-500 on my Clearaudio Concept. When I was auditioning stuff I listened to a 10x5, a 2m Bronze, a 2m Black and the MP-500 on both the Clearaudio concept and on a Scout 1.1 and in the end went with the Concept/MP-500 setup. It's a great pair. BUT when I was listening on the Scout I definitely preferred the Dynavector and Nagaoka over the Ortofon stuff.
  17. Killer job, Mesi! Most listening spaces and setups stress me out just looking at em. This is perfect.
  18. They do! Some of my favorite pieces are their ltd releases. Also, just listened to Moon Ate The Dark II in it's entirety. It's perfect! Really excited to get both of these records.
  19. Reissue of one of my favorite piano records, Moon Ate The Dark, plus a new release from them! w00t! http://sonicpieces.bigcartel.com/product/moon-ate-the-dark-moon-ate-the-dark-i-ii-2lp
