Interesting. Did any of your orders include Interpol Antics or s/t?
Mine just showed up today. I didn't order any of the Interpol albums.

Has anyone's orders from this shipped yet? Mine still says Processing. When I've ordered from them in the past it's shipped pretty quickly.
Yes, I got shipping notification Monday afternoon.

Hell yeah! I can't wait to see these guys next weekend.

Nice timing! Glad was I able to snag a variant of that Jack Name. Had almost bought a standard off Midheaven yesterday. Picked up that Coachwhips & Warm Soda as well.

I knew this would happen: I can't really bring myself to sell any Sonic Youth or Brand New stuff. Anything else though, which is still a ton of stuff, is all up for grabs. Thanks all for helping me out.
Thank you for pulling Sonic Youth out of the mix. You have a nice collection & it was tearing me up on what I wanted to send you offers on as I couldn't possibly afford to bid on all of it.
For what it's worth, I think it's a good decision to hang to those.

Looking for the Father John Misty 7" "I Love You, Honeybee". If anyone has an extra or knows where in the wild world of online stores I might be able to find one, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Not so much news or a pre-order but a fun reminder that the Coachwhips reissue of "Bangers vs Fuckers" is coming next week. AV Club is streaming the remastered version.

Kinda surprised they didn't more than 200 of the red/black splatter. Damn thing sold out in 20 minutes. Glad I was fortunate to get a copy.

Guys, thats just the way it is. Brick and mortar stores need to charge a little mire to pay for their rent/lease. Online stores dont need to cover the same bills every month.
Support your local shops...before they are gone.
I agree with supporting local but there has to be a disclaimer in there that states that it has to be at a reasonable mark up. I'm totally on board for a couple bucks above what I could get online elsewhere. There are a lot of good record stores that get this part right.
But Bake's example sounds like a store that is a little bit more than unreasonable, where the pricing is pretty much ignorant to the market. Businesses fail all the time because they can't get their pricing right. Sorry, but I try to avoid supporting stupid because nobody wins in that scenario. Whether they've never seen a computer, are trying to ride whatever new vinyl demand there is, or are a money laundering front for the mob, it's not a model for long term survival. Well, maybe the mob example is.
Someone earlier mentioned Dischord prices in records stores. Back in the day, Fugazi had always been my bellwether for pricing in a music store. If 7 Songs or In On The Kill Taker was priced the same as everything else, then proceed with caution.

Was that everything that was supposed to go up?
Based on what they announced, yes.

Snagged a gold Quarters.

Just saw this on the comments under that post on their Facebook site.
"King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Just realised it isn't record store day tomorrow"
Is this supposed to be for RSD? Not sure what to think but I'll be on at 6:45 PM EST with an itchy trigger finger just in case.

20% off at Goner Records:
Thanks, I've been holding out on a few items they have in-stock. Great prices & reasonable shipping.
-
I'd honestly consider buying this if it was called "A Shitload of Sorrow".
Other title choices could be, "We're Never Playing This Song Again", "How to Hate This Song Forever", or "I Have To Piss".
- zerohacker, Fridge Fox and Rip

I can't help but wonder if enough people hold out on buying this that it will see a price drop based on how many they are pressing.
Wishful thinking...
EDIT: This is probably a $50 purchase at best, imo.

Thanks for the tip on this album. First listen through & I'm really enjoying it.

Got turned on to this jazz drummer by the name of Makaya McCraven who put out an album in January called "In The Moment". It's up over on his bandcamp page and is definitely worth checking out because of how the album was created and well, how good it is. It is available in various formats and of course, double LP.
"Nearly 48 hours of live improvised performance recorded at 1 venue over 12 months and 28 shows - culled, cut, rendered, and remixed into 19 potent pieces of organic beat music."
Anyway, I thought it sounded pretty good so there you have it.

Got this today! Wow and early ...Little underwhelming for a deluxe LP...should of been 180g at least....But sounds amazing and is such a good record
I agree that it seems a little less than what they could have done for a "deluxe" version. The record itself is a really cool color & the album is good but they're missing a little extra something in the package whether it be gatefold sleeve, poster/artwork, 180g, etc. Just one of those little extras would have been nice. Otherwise this should have just been called a limited edition.

I like what I've heard off this album so far. Definitely interested to hear the complete album.

To keep it on topic, got my shipping notice the other day.
Aside from that, here's a pretty cool post on Mikal Cronin releases from solo stuff to collaborations. A few in there that I was unaware of.
