  1. I like what I've heard off this album so far. Definitely interested to hear the complete album.
  2. The Soft Moon's "Deeper" is streaming on NPR: http://www.npr.org/2015/03/22/393645018/first-listen-the-soft-moon-deeper
  3. The show was excellent. I really liked Wrong a lot. They came out swinging and played a pretty pummeling set. Rick Smith from Torche sat in on drums for them. My only complaint would be that Wrong didn't have more stage time. For my money, they could have kept Nothing out of the lineup & split that time with more Wrong/Torche. Nothing had sound issues & didn't otherwise impress me. Torche was amazing as to be expected. Overall, it was a great show. Ended up picking up the Wrong EP while I was there. I won't hesitate to see them again next time they come through Detroit.
  4. Thanks, I've been holding off on both Dive and Awake up until now.
  5. Pulled the trigger on the Amazon.co.uk listing. This has been up and around for a bit but that price is pretty good at $28 shipped.
  6. Agreed. My three records showed up today in two different packages. Two were in excellent condition but the third had a very small seam split at the top. I don't like it but it's small enough that I can live with it. What threw me was the packaging. Two albums were shipped together in basically a tri-fold piece of cardboard with the ends exposed, covered only with packaging tape. It's amazing they didn't get totally destroyed. I will definitely have to pause before placing another order with them.
  7. That's too bad. Hopefully they learned their lesson on that one and are handling it different this time around. I ordered one as the packaging otherwise looks great.
  8. How did they handle it? Refunds all around, or did everyone have to deal with it?
  9. New limited edition pre-orders up for Male Gaze and POW!. Male Gaze Pre-order link: http://www.castlefacerecords.com/products/male-gaze-gale-maze POW! Pre-order link: http://www.castlefacerecords.com/products/pow-fight-fire
  10. I'm going to see Torche next Friday in Detroit with Nothing and Wrong opening for them. Really looking forward to the show.
  11. Good call. Five minutes after my post another email came saying that all shipped together. Kinda confusing communication but whatever. It's a good deal if it's one or three.
  12. I ordered three records & they're shipping one. They're stating that the other two will be shipped when available although both were in stock at the time the order was placed. My guess is they will honor one LP, like the coupon states, but the rest won't go through.
  13. Anyone who ordered early yesterday get shipping notification yet? I'm in no big rush for my order, just curious how close they stick to the "Ships within 24 Hours" with the large volume of orders this sale is probably generating.
  14. Maybe their in-store vs online sales ratio is pointing towards online being a better scenario for them. Especially for UO, the purveyor of taste & leader of the vinyl sales. http://www.stereogum.com/1707425/urban-outfitters-is-now-the-worlds-biggest-seller-of-vinyl/news/ I imagine record collectors are a different sort (see: pain in the ass) than the customers who frequent these stores otherwise (see: young, hipster, goth types). Sure there are crossover types who buy the records AND the awesome latest styles of clothes but perhaps those people are the more casual record collectors. So maybe they're giving up the retail floor space & taking inventory hassles, online price comparing, exclusives hunting, etc to a more singular channel. I'm don't believe records will have no floor space in another few years but who knows. I could probably add a few more generalizations on something I know very little about but why ruin it.
  15. Very nice, thanks! Don't mind paying for shipping when it's reasonable but the Pax Am shipping cost for a 7" is annoyingly higher than it seems like it should be.
  16. I know a few of the past releases pop up in other online stores with cheaper shipping, would it be expected that this one would as well?
  17. I grabbed the news from Consequence of Sound which had April 19 but based on the other articles I've found, it looks like the common date being given is 5/18. Good catch!
  18. The great Thee Oh Sees will be dropping a new one, Mutilator Defeated At Last, on May 18, 2015. Listen here: http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/03/thee-oh-sees-announce-new-album-mutilator-defeated-at-last-premiere-web-listen/
