Yeah, on tour you'll probably be able to get a copy, they sold el cielo for 50 Euros on their el cielo/cwa tour in 2014 haha. But i assume this new release won't be available through other online stores - just like the last releases. But then I find 1250 a quite low number for a release like that ... i mean it's catch without arms, why would they press more copies of el cielo? If the numbers in the store are correct they are already half sold out after a day. Maybe you're right with the number...we'll see

What other channels? Dredg sold the previous re-releases of leitmotif and el cielo only through merch now as well. And they have currently about 740 left in stock there. So i think 1250 is accurate.

Does any body know by the way to how much el cielo was limited? There were always two numbers floating around.i think

I'm sure the 25 bucks will be justified by the care that has been put into this. El cielo was 15 dollars and is just an awesome, awesome pressing.

Couldn't order faster, soooo looking forward to finally completing the dredg vinyl collection. A few months back i wrote in another thread that i would really love to see them packing the 12 art prints they made but didn't make the cd booklet into this thing, i can't believe they've done that...so cool

I would really like to know the limitation for this thing though

Since they announced that they will play a couple of festival shows next year i'm slowly getting the feeling that they're doing this release (and the shows) just to finance their next record, which they should be writing/recording next summer instead of touring since they officially anounced they started working on it...and till lindemann himself stated that they usually need 2 years to make a record.

 

I mean i really buy all of their stuff but this release in particular gives me the feeling the band is thinking something like" lets put out a vinyl box for 100€ plus the normal price for 7 double lps...our fans will buy this anyway if we write 'limited' in the description"

 

The rammstein shop support normally anwers pretty fast but a week ago i asked if there will be another batch of boxes when they are sold out since the OFFICIAL description in the rammstein shop says "limited FIRST PRESSING" (compare to the völkerball limited photobook). Still got no answer to that.

 

So knowing they are making another record right now and that this box won't be complete in 2 years anymore, i think they will be releasing a complete studio collection on vinyl down the line when they quit.

 

But i'm really excited how the box will look and how you guys will like it!

It doesn't sound perfect for sure...there's a few pops here and there (not from the samples) and the record wobbles a little bit on the turntable (at least mine). But overall i think it's an okay pressing. They could have done it better though..but hell, what do i expect, the records came in those paper sleeves without antistatic protection like they do with most of vinyl releases.

I think if you just want to listen to this thing on a turntable you will be happy cause it doesn't sound that bad over all...but if you want to hear some high fidelity shit you will be a little bit disappointed i think...but listen for yourself!!

Yeah it will be the same box set...and i'm sure the box will appear on amazon internationally for cheaper prices but i'm staying with my emp order...had a lot of bad experiences with things like that on german amazon where i bought limited stuff that sold out during pre-order and on release day amazon send me a mail saying "we can not get this item anymore"

And i'm really not in the mood for that to happen here haha

Why are they not shipping outside the us? I don't know if i should order it to my reshipping service or if i should wait...the reflektor 12" single from 2013 was said to be really limited as well and then it was really not that crazy and now you can get it for 10 bucks on amazon...

Hell yeah, pre-ordered one... so looking forward to their next piece, looking back at their previous album cycle of putting out a record every 3 years they'll hopefully release their next record in 2016

Arrived today...so glad this happened, great addition to the grindhouse collection. It sounds okay, on side b of my copy however there's a little scratch on 'down in mexico' ...doesn't seem to affect the flow of the record though...

 

Wonder why they haven't released the planet terror soundtrack on vinyl yet..
