    Chicagoland Record Collectors Shows

THE NEXT BIG SHOW IS ON SUNDAY MARCH 15, 2015

The Chicagoland Record Collectors Show is the perfect place for vinyl enthusiastsand collectors searching for vintage albums and 45’s. A wide range of records and CD’s straight from the dealer to you will be available, including Rock, Jazz, Soul, R & B, Country, Folk and many others. 50-60 dealers with up to 80 tables per show will be at the Best Western Hotel in Hillside to offer a plethora of records, not be equaled at any other Midwest show.

What makes us different from other record shows is that the dealers are reputable. They consistently have great records to sell and are helpful in filling customer requests.

New dealers are pre-screened and referenced before they are allowed to sell at the show. To ensure that you get the best quality of merchandise available at the show, no bootleg or counterfeit sales are allowed.

There are record players available for testing and reviewing at the show to help all customers find exactly what they are looking for. Many dealers participate in the Search & Find service for the customers, making the search for certain titles an easier one.

There is a bargain box record auction where bulk quantities of records, tapes, & CD’s from dealers are auctioned off at no minimum bid.

This show makes music buying and collecting a unique event for the customer, andplaces the Chicagoland Record Collectors Show in a class by itself.

  2. There's never been a repress, or even rumors of a repress. There's (I think) enough interest to warrant one, but no plans to actually do it. Last year's PW represses stopped before Full Circle album-wise, & it's not mentioned on the above list.

And last years represses (s/t, Unknown Road, About Time) didnt exactly sell like hotcakes, so there probably isnt much incentive to do it.

But to be honest I have no clue. It's just my fave PW album & deserves another go round.

My favorite as well, and I imagine there would be plenty of interest in this album especially.

  3. FWIW, it seems that intl packages are moving slowly right now.

I've been waiting for sportscards that I won from a Canada seller for over a month now.

Every item I've ever gotten from Canada seems to get snagged in customs for weeks.

I won't claim to know discogs policy, but it is stated explicitly in ebay's terms that insurance is intended to protect the seller, not the buyer.

The onus is on the seller to make sure a purchased item arrives.  If you purchase something from walmart.com and it doesn't arrive, do you just write it off as a loss, or do you call customer service for a refund/replacement?  Anyone selling anything assumes the same risk/responsibility.

  4. That Hot Topic variation is super wild looking too. Totally doesn't match the cover, but I still dig it. Luckily, I snagged the clear w/ black & white splatter for the pre-order. Seeing NFG again in a couple weeks :D

    I'm seeing them in Palatine.

If they have the Hopeless variant at the merch table, I'll probably grab that too...why not, right? :)

  5. How come I can never buy anything from her? I get outbid by "Private Listing" every single time only to see the item back up right after the auction is over?

They probably have an account to make prices jump higher and then also to use when they don't think the price got high enough at the end of the listing, though I'm not sure why she/they wouldn't just set a price that must be met..

She has multiple copies of most records.

When one ends, she lists another copy.
