  1. Same issue at the HT at Westfarms (West Hartford / Farmington, CT). I asked the manager and he mentioned that since Urban Outfitters started carrying a ton of vinyl (which is right across the hall from HT), they noticed a significant decline in vinyl sales, which resulted in their supply getting cut. Haven't been to the Milford Mall in a bit, but if there's any other stores in there selling vinyl, it could be a similar scenario.

Idk that this really makes a difference.

Woodfield Mall in IL has a HUGE UO with TONS of records, and the HT there has the most vinyl of any HT in the area.

That said, I don't get the UO thing.  I'm sure they have a few exclusives,

but it's mostly standard retail releases for $5-10 more than they are at my local record store.

  2. Just for good measure...

Im guessing it just the wrong labels.  Its nearly impossible for the music to be the same on both sides.  That would be a major flaw in a large chunk of the pressing that we would have known about by now.

My guess is the dude hasn't played the record and will shortly retract his previous statement.

Look closer...the labels say Record 1/2 Side A/B

It's easy for a wrong label to fall onto the wrong side of a disc.

For the wrong music to be on the side of a disc they would have to change the plates completely when stamping it.  Which at URP means at least 100 copies would have been made like that before it was noticed.  When they would have noticed it they would have trashed those copies.  But possibly they could have massively messed up and pressed some wrong and then also somehow messed up and shipped those out, and now somehow it is being noticed for the first time years later.....or it could just be the wrong piece of paper on one side of the record.

evidently this problem only happens to people with only one post?

  3. Just out of curiosity... Do most "delays" happen because of production or is it the label trying to spread releases out or ??????

Guessing most delays happen because of all the useless re-presses that end up in the discount bin after collecting dust on the shelf for six months.  There are albums that have never been pressed being delayed while others are on their 5th and 6th re-press in stereo or mono or whatever the hell.

  4. I more meant that I'm not going to buy the merchandise. I do like the movie, but when I go to disneyland and buy things NBC is probably the last thing I'd buy. I guess theres no real valid reason other than that the merchandise is overdone.

There is a ton of merch, but I've gotten to experience the movie all over again through the eyes of my 5 year old...she loves it!!

So I grabbed a few things with hot cash that will go in this year's Christmas stocking.

  5. I started thinking about that the other day, will Amazon get it? The clear version of Vessel was in FBR's webstore and the Amazon version was clear. It'd be really sweet not to have to pay that $8+ for shipping. So I wonder if Amazon and other retailers will get it, and if so, if it'll just be black, or what.

The clear version of Vessel (which turned out to be the standard version) was also in record stores for $17-19, so I doubt this record will be hard to find once they finally start pressing them...after they finish the 28th Beatles repress.

  6. Bad Religion - New Maps of Hell LP on clear vinyl w/ black swirl hitting select stores and online next week.

    Looks great!

Hate to say it, but every BR album I've grabbed has been in-store clearance or BOGO $1 from the website.

Both my local stores have multiple copies of every album on the shelf...which I really don't understand.
