Mine sounds great. A/B switched but that is most likely the plants fault. I love the jacket thickness. Love the color choice. I'm a fan. I'd buy again.
However, mine was shipped in the flattened box, it was a bit surprising to say the least. No damage though, luckily.

You're telling me you don't like 'Joy'?...
Here is plenty of context:
""Castles High, Marble Bright” and "127 North" were conceived, written and recorded alongside the collection of songs that would become Dust and Disquiet, an album that we hoped spoke to the dialogue between a newly found, furrow browed melancholy and the fractured but unbroken sense of stubbornly epic, dramatically determined optimism that we've been trying to emulate with our music for 12 years. With the end of this album cycle vaguely coming into sight, "Castles High, Marble Bright” is now our North Star, our way home, and our celebration of the decision to fully embrace the above dialogue head on together and see what comes."
On a bit of a different note, "127 North" is the sound of 6 guys playing in a room together on a Friday afternoon. In some ways the least ambitious thing we've ever committed to tape. Free from the grip of over arrangement, overdubs, click tracks, excessive chin stroking and the like, "127 North" is what a Caspian song sometimes sounds like in its infancy.
"127 North is VERY stripped down. Written in one practice and never changed. Recorded all at once with all of us in the same room like the day we wrote it. "
"the song was never truly written.
We basically recorded a jam we had in our practice space one night and said "that's nice, we should try to recreate it in studio"
"It's a vulnerable moment for us to introduce people to a song that exists in this kind of limbo, somewhere between improvisation and a fully composed piece of music. It's an honest moment and all a part of the process, of course. Maybe it's time to invite people behind the curtain a little... there's some old couches, a few beers and maybe a few high fives back here waiting for you. Some days are less serious than others, and that's quite alright with us."
Always coming through with the goods.

Just so y'all know, I'm buying this before listening because of all of the feedback (don't use spotify). So if I don't like it I'm blaming EVERYONE(!!!) who posted in this thread.
No way this will touch RC for me, but I have high hopes. Cheers.
EDIT: Holy shit, this record is 50euros shipped to Australia. I might have to rethink.

I'm gonna be a wet blanket. The new song is ok, I find it kind of bland. I think it needs context (i.e. a full length).
When they last played in Melbourne, their sound was fantastic. Can't wait for them to make it back. But I bring earplugs everywhere, I got burnt too many times at hardcore shows when I was in my teens.

I just had my first chance to have a proper listen. I think this album is great. Just put side I back on for a second listen.

And Giacchino did a great job I thought with Jurassic World. Gotta say I was kind of bummed that Desplat isn't doing this anymore but I think it'll be alright.
I just hope Williams can make it through episodes 8 and 9. Then just rides off into the sunset.
...the binary sunset?

Anyone have an update on this?
Medi just posted on Facebook that he is expecting the records to arrive "any day now". Then he'll be shipping right away.

I loved Dust, but one listen of this when it came out was hard to get through. Going to revist because my God those are gorgeous variants.
I'm with you on this one. There are parts that I think are great but then there are enough parts that are hard work for me. But those variants....

Anyone have any leads on where to find the "Psych" Dual Effect Red/Yellow version of this or is it pretty much sold out everywhere?
Just thought I'd let you and everyone else know. I just found and picked up the "psych" colored variant at jumbo records, I think they are located in leeds UK. For me, in Aus, it cost £19.99 + £10 for shipping. Good luck.

I really want to preorder this, but $34 to ship the 2LP and a shirt to France is way too high. Any chance of an Europe preorder?

Sergeant House is in a good place right now. RC, now this?! New song is great.

Thanks. Right now, they'll go on some shelves. I'll mess around with positioning for a bit and will have to get stands sooner rather than later. Their sound totally blew me away. Granted, that was in shops with rooms built for demoing stereo equipment.

I just went nuts and got a whole new rig.
Monitor Audio Silver 2
Rega Brio
Rega Planar 3 with PSU and Blue Ortofon
Pretty pumped about it all, should have it set up next weekend, going away for the week and waiting on a couple of deliveries. I'll be thinking long and hard about which record I'll be playing first. Might be Sigur Ros AB or the new Russian circles.

I really enjoyed that song. And I really like that vinyl. Pretty pumped for the release.

Excited for this. I wonder how long it will be before newbury announces their colored variant.

Man, that bass is dirty (in a good way). Took a bit to get going but pretty solid I think. Might have to pick this one up.

Ummm... Elephant in the room. Empros?!?!?
This. Geneva is amazing. But I continually pull out Empros for a listen, the Bass and guitar tones bring it up a notch for me. Plus it's got the heaviness that I think Geneva lacks. Now Guidance hasn't disappointed one iota yet. Can't wait for the 5th.

If These Trees Could Talk added some products to their online store today that were available at the album release shows last weekend. They also added what appears to be five copies of 'Red Forest' in clear black/red splatter. I got one, and it looks like there are two left for anyone interested.

Gonzo! Wasn't able to grab one. Not sure I wanted one anyways. I think I just wanted the option.

I love this band so fricking much. The two songs I've heard from this album are so so good. I'm super excited to get the records in my hand. Easily my favourite band.
I'm just gonna jump in the memorial conversation while I'm here. I get why people aren't that enthused about it, but I like that they tried something different. I think it worked. Mike got the guitar tone just right for that type of shoegazey metal.

I have no idea why they ruined their sound with that addition. Go back and check out Real Life Awaits Us. I think you'll like it way more.
Thanks! I'll definitely check that out today.

I'm on board for finding some custom jackets for some Russian Circles tests. Considering that what we are asking for is a work of art, I'd be will to go above the $25 threshold that has been mentioned. I've actually been thinking of going down to a tattoo shop to see if they'd be willing to do some custom LP covers. But alas, finding the time to do this has been difficult.
