I wouldn't mind getting in on this...hidden board. I wouldn't comment much, but I'm mostly here for you guys' recommendations anyway.
This, for me too.

That life's blood 7" is great. Might have to get this.

I loved bleeder. Pumped for this one. Really like the new song too.

This reminds me of something interesting I always wanted another opinion on. Back when we all did our ratings of albums we thought were "10s", "9s", "8s", etc, I picked this album as my "1" rating citing that it was 100% a Cloudkicker ripoff that the artist didn't acknowledge at all. I know this because a review was posted here when it came out (http://postrockstar.com/2014/04/28/surrounded-by-infantry-signals-noises/) and it's what led me to check out. I had made a critical post about it being a ripoff on that page (which I can see the comments are no longer there) and the artist chimed in saying "He was influenced by CK but believed his songs were original", which was the biggest load of crap I had ever heard. If anyone that is familiar enough with Cloudkicker to pick up on the similarities is bored, check out this album and let me know what you think...

Holy shit. I didn't even make it that far, but the tone is eerily similar, the bass comes in just like CK, the artists uses the same type of picking.

Go to http://kapitaen-platte.de
They sell the record 7€ cheaper than the band and shipping to US is only 7.50€! So, total of around $28 ppd!
Always bringing the goods! Absolutely worth that price.

Just received that Faltre record in the mail, after the recommendation here. Man is it nice. The total package is fantastic. Especially if you are into the creative side of things.

Here's one that flew under everyone's radar: Faltre - Elegeia
Really, really good stuff. The vinyl looks absolutely gorgeous, too. If anyone listens (please!) and is interested in a physical copy, the shipping stays where it is no matter how many you buy so this has the potential for a group buy. (Maybe revive the EU thread?)
Thanks for the recommendation. Really enjoyed my first listen, so I purchased. Love silk-screened covers.

So pumped for this release. Been waiting for this on vinyl for ever and was having no luck on getting the OG version.

A little late to the conversation but love the RC discussion. Been one of my favourites since Enter and Guidance crushes it (easily #1 record of the year for me). I also think Empros is criminally underrated.
RE: Pelican. Their new(ish) record fucking rips. I love that band and most of their releases too, so I'm a bit biased. Think I might be one of the few on this board. But if you ahve some down time, I'd recommend giving Forever Becoming a spin.

Looking forward to new material but man, whenever I see new converge material it makes me feel wicked old. When I was getting into HC, converge was the local band opening up for other more "well-known" local bands, if that makes sense. This was pre-tattoos, pre-halo in a haystack, and pre-giving a shit. It wasn't until I moved away in 1997 that I realized people outside of Fitchburg/Leominster, MA loved converge. It wasn't until seeing them away from MA, that I understood how crazy this band was. It's funny how things work out.
While we are on the memory lane highway: My most memorable show was probably Dive's last show at teh White Eagle with Chorus of Disapproval in 1994 or 6(?). The singer of Chorus went for a stage dive and everyone moved out of the way. A deathly thud rang through the club. The singer says through the mic "Can someone call an ambulance?" Regardless, Converge opened and tore it up. I think I may even have a VHS tape of the show somewhere at my parents place. Would be fun to watch it again, kind of like a time capsule.

Have you correctly adjusted the weight on the tone arm? Might be jumping off the vinyl.

Holy Roar are pretty good for vinyl in terms of packaging/shipping securely (although UK based so probably pricey for most of you guys) and overall production value. Their sister label Truthseeker Music Group are also very good.
Their subscribers may get an exclusive colour variant but it should still be available to non subscribers.Awesome! Thanks for the info.

That's fucking cool. Definitely let us know if you see a PO go up.
Will do. Never ordered from Holy Roar before so I wonder about quality assurance. Apparently they have one of those subscription schemes, which kind of bugs me.

Talking with Otto briefly after seeing them earlier this year he said this new one should be their heaviest yet. Hope they stick with that plan!
That would make me very happy. And I liked Cartography.

Did anyone see that Bossk will be repressing their I and II comp on Holy Roar Records? I'm fricking pumped. Been looking for that on vinyl for years. When one goes up on discogs it sells in under 10 minutes and I end up missing it.

In for the vinyl only package. Looking forward to it.

Finally got around to creating the covers for my Russian Circles tests. Pretty pleased with how they came out considering I'm art illiterate unless it is more technical like photography.
stencils and spray paint. Still need to add the album names at bottom right (in black I think).
This one is kind of crooked though, but still good.

Sargent House sale? Also, pics of the Enter jacket?
I'm not a big test press person. But I jumped at the chance to grab a few RC tests (been one of my favorites since Enter).
Got these:
RC - enter
RC - station
RC - empros
RC - guidance
I'm in the process of putting together some stencils to create custom jackets. Just picked up the spray paint and exacto. This might turn out to be a debacle but the process will be fun.

Be honest. Did you really listen to the new one? I know how you love to listen to new albums (present day) years later as an initial listen and then ask if we've heard the new ____________ yet.
An honest Gumby is the best Gumby .
Hilarious.
I finally ordered one from the US store because shipping was half the price. I couldn't justify the 26euro shipping pricetag to Aus. Looking forward to getting this in hand, I think it looks great.

Definitely would, but I live in 'stralia these days. Shipping from Dunk to Aus is dumb; so, I've been sending all my records to a friend in LA for safe keeping.
