I started going there a lot this past year and it is pretty great. Sucks when shows are all ages (as they often are) and they can't serve alcohol, but I enjoy it nonetheless. I like the crowds there, they tend to be really into the music, not texting and trying to take photos/videos the whole time.

Got mine today and just spun it. I assume it's the same as earlier pressings sound-wise, but man is it great. Crisp and clear and as little surface noise as I've ever heard. Here's a couple pics for funzies. Also, I was researching the albatross as a metaphor and found this: "But when the tide came in there was nothing left, but an albatross hanging from my neck."

I can't see it dipping that low in the near future. The $94 price on Bullmoose is by far the cheapest I can find online anywhere. Discogs prices are $130 and rising. Although with my luck I'll buy this then see another press of it in a shop for $80 or whatever they were when released.

This is easily solved with my method of keeping the jacket and sleeve containing the record separate in a poly bag. Also reduces ring wear, and makes it quicker/easier to pull a record out.

Fair enough. I saw that it said release date 12/4/2012 and feared it was the 2012 press.

Thanks! When you get it do you mind updating me on the quality or any sound issues? I've heard of problems with inner groove distortion among other things (the comments here http://www.discogs.c.../release/408287)

Make sure to keep its operating system up to date too, and make sure you have enough RAM. Mine was spinning a bit slow a while back and I just had to download some more ram to it.

Listening to For Emma. A side was fine but the B side has a noticeable, repeating scuffling sound with each rotation, throughout the whole side. Anyone else?

I don't recall my Bon Iver pressings being too bad, but I'll have to give it another listen. On a related note, does anyone have Volcano Choir's "Repave"? Just got one and there's a terrible scratchy noise on the first track of both sides.

What are people's opinions of the single? For the first time ever with anything Rob or Zach has put out, I'm not a tremendous fan of it right away. That 3-note repetitive bass line and layered vocals kind of got on my nerves after a couple minutes.
