  1. Agreed. I think getting something limited and selling as is for more, is unethical. Keeps people who want it from having it. I don't see any ethical issues with what I'm doing. It will sell for what it's worth, even if that's the $20 I paid for it (although I wouldn't anyway, I like the album too much).
  2. Thanks for being the only one who understands hah. Do people not realize that everything they buy from any store is marked up? Also people sell rare stuff on VC every day for more than they paid for it. But an autograph is blasphemy I guess. Even with flippers, the problem isn't with the sellers but the buyers. If someone is willing to pay $100 for something, then that item is worth $100. If someone is willing to give me $50 for something rather than $20, I'd be dumb to not take the money. Its like selling vinyl on here is supposed to be a charity or something. If you think it's overpriced, just don't buy it and move on with your day.
  3. Good amount of hipster essentials, including both broken social scene reissues.. I still need to pick up that red self titled. 7/10 because you lost 3 points for having no Conway Twitty. Everyone should at least have his greatest hits. My collection: http://www.discogs.com/user/electric_dolphin/collection?sort=artist&header=1&sort_order=asc
  4. Sorry to hurt so many feelings but here's the deal. I got 2 of these signed, one I was in all seriousness planning to keep, and the other I gave to my good friend who has loved GUK since high school. However money is very tight right now and I regretfully am trying to make a profit from this to help with holiday costs. I'm not really selling this (or the IIOI record on the other thread) for myself. I kind of have to. And I didn't get it signed with the intention of selling it. That's all I'm going to say.
  5. Yeah.. In all honesty I'm probably looking for more than anyone wants to pay. Love your username and avatar though, man. Cream of the crop.
  6. Anyone end up picking up Boy Named Goo too? Similar in sound quality? I think I'll grab one.
  7. Signed by full band, all members who originally recorded the album in '99. PM me offers.
  8. Nobody is being forced to buy anything. Don't you people have something better to do than play vinyl police?
  9. Hah yeah it was pretty easy. But I went to a show and spent a lot on beer and vinyl, and need to make up for it. Does that make me such a bad person? I'm only human, I have temptations like the rest of you. If you think it's too expensive, don't buy it from me! Or make me a more appropriate offer!
  10. Flipping, to me, is buying an item and selling it exactly as is for a higher price. That's not what I'm doing. Getting a signature, in my opinion, warrants a higher price. Autographed stuff sells for more $ all the time. Because IIOI is a smaller artist, I wasn't sure what to price it at. So I figured why not start high. I'm selling it because I was able to get two copies signed, one for me and one to sell, and I could use some money at the moment... mostly to cover costs of other records I've bought, haha. The money I make is going to go right back into the vinyl industry, so at least there's that. If you don't like it, don't buy it and move on
  11. I can't wait til Jesse gets over that breakup and starts writing poppy love songs
  12. Thanks. Someone else in a different thread mentioned he got his from Bullmoose today and it's the 2015 press.
  13. Awesome, thanks for the update! Can't wait for mine to show up on Friday.
  14. Bullmoose has it for $95, which is the cheapest I can find anywhere online. I just ordered one this week, should have it Friday, will confirm if it's a 2015 press. http://www.bullmoose.com/p/14086747/smashing-pumpkins-mellon-collie-the-infinite-sadness-4-lp PS how would I tell if it's a 2015 press? Did all others have distortion at the end of side A?
  15. Not sure what's with the downvote. Some people in this community are so sensitive about selling something for a penny more than you paid for it, and I honestly don't get it. It's not like I grabbed something that's rare and jacked up the price so you're stuck breaking the bank to get a copy. I think signed stuff is different; I put extra work into getting a signature, therefore the album is unique and more valuable. Am I wrong? I'm open to contrasting viewpoints.
  16. I bought/had him sign one for myself and one for the board. If I wanted to flip it I'd put it on eBay. I'm not looking to make a crazy profit, just the cost of the album and a little extra for doing the legwork of getting it signed.
  17. It's the half translucent red/half clear with red splatter. Signed with a nice silver marker at his show at the Triple Rock in Minneapolis last night.
  18. I foolishly didn't read the top post, just clicked on the link. Sorry for your loss man. I should be able to pick up something from you to help out.
  19. Interested in Atmosphere - Seven's Travels 3xLP numbered, New Found Glory - Sticks & Stones, Pumpkins Aeroplane box set. If the price is right, that is. Send me a PM.
