FYI that dude you’re trying to have a real conversation with is a troll.
Clearly. Anyone that was purchasing records 10+ years ago knows that prices are NOW fucking insane. I am old as hell, and started buying records in the late 90's, mainly becuase they were far less expensive than their CD counterparts. The bonus was that I was listening to mostly hardcore and punk, and the hardcore and punk bands never really stopped putting music out on vinyl.
10 years ago most single LP's from smaller labels would have been $14-$16, and double LP's would have been around $18-$22. Prices have certainly not dropped, quite the opposite.
Back on topic...the new single (Interrobang) is a ripper.

Damn. Agreed that it has a bit of an “opener” vibe, but I could also see that slow intro being a breather point midway through the album. Has anyone seen a track list yet?
I do admire how this single screams signature “Appleseed Quality” and yet continues their legacy of never having one album sound too similar to another. (At least based off these 6.5 minutes so far.) I’m expecting fresh, good things in June.
Track list is on the Bandcamp page.

Finally. Been patiently waiting for a repress.

I was able to get an order through for SDRE on Bullmoose. I have an original press, but I am a sucker for all things SDRE AND all things clear vinyl.

Super happy that Relapse shipped me a black copy of this after I pre-ordered a splatter copy within the first 15 minutes of this going up. They told me they cannot replace it with a splatter, they don't have any. Dope.

That's a fair assessment on your last point. It's just kind of ironic to me, that Aaron feels Isis is done, but they don't have a problem continuing to cash in on what they made. Because your same logic could be applied to their live performances. What about all the people who have just discovered them 1, 2, 3 or 4 years ago? You're okay with letting people buy your stuff again, who missed it the first time, but why not extend that to the actual medium that created the music in the first place, the performance?
I just think it's a little funny that he has such idealism towards the performance of the material, but not towards the commercialization of that music. If he thinks getting back together to honor and perform the incredible stuff they created together would tarnish their legacy, why does that not also translate to the physical recorded medium as well? If new technology allows the records to sound better, wouldn't the same logic apply also to the performance? Newer, better gear, etc.
Just looking to stoke a friendly philosophical debate is all
So any band that no longer plays live should stop selling their music? Seems super logical.

Where are you seeing silver? I see gold and orange?

Damn, saw this bumped and got pretty excited. This is the first time in nearly 2 years that there hasn't been an active 20-25% code. Bummer.

my introduction was his split with Jonah Matranga, while his side was still on the turntable I got on my computer to hunt down his stuff and bought the splatter version of this immediately (I think Suburban Home had it in their distro at that time)
jazzed this his is getting repressed though
this was exactly how i discovered frank turner. i remember buying the 10" from vinyl collective immediately after listening to frank's side of that split.

GOOD20 is dead. Any word yet on a new 20% code?

Well this is pretty cool of Chris. I can finally stop holding a grudge over $15.
"Hi, To answer the first obvious question - Yes I am still trying to get this project done. I go through periods of time that I am able to work on it, and other, where I am not able to. Most of my days I do not have a spare minute, and I do not have days off, ever.
That said, while we are in the midst of this, much longer than expected process, I do have a tour coming up in October and November. We will be touring with the band Caspian.
If any of you kind people would like to be put on the guest list for any of the shows, I would be overjoyed be able to reciprocate in some small way, and get you on.
PLEASE email me at [email protected] if you are interested!
Thank you!
Chris" -
Grabbed that T-shirt bundle. $82ppd to the US for 2 2xLP's and a T-shirt is pretty fucking good. Just want to stop spending money...but records.

Has anyone been able to find AAR, MewithoutYou, Andrew McMahon or James Bay ?

I ended up keeping my Amazon UK preorder as it was about $23ppd which was pretty good. Curious to see if it is the same as the US white pressing. Hoping it was pressed in Europe after hearing the less than stellar comments on the US white pressing. We shall see.

Does it charge now or at shipping?I don't have the cash to front
Now.

$30ppd for a single LP is fucking rough, but Thrice. Ordered.

Yeah I've tried that code a number of times over the last few weeks but it's not applicable to anything I'm looking to buy. The codes they were emailing were for 20 or 30% off an entire order.
The whole site (Gohastings) is 16% off with "SWEET16". Or so the email they sent me says. I have not tried it.
