I should see it that way as well lol... I really do want a copy of ATL but just don't have the cash and honestly would rather have the black vinyl and not because of it's low printing number, it's just that I prefer my listening copies to be black vinyl. It always sounds better to me mostly and who wants to wear out their color variations right?

Not as ridiculous as someone paying near $1k for a top grade Ortofon cartridge lol. It's all a matter of how valuable it is to you, and that really is why these folks keep charging us out the wazoo for these records, because someone will always be willing to pay the over-inflated price without thought just so they can say they have it

I've noticed the first issue with my box! My DCH & Bridge both have minor seam splitting on the bottom of their inners. I noticed that they were packed with the open end of the inners facing the open end of the outer jacket, which I guess saved me from having dual side seam splits, but I'm guessing rollback during shipping caused them to move just enough to start pushing through the closed side. The records are a bit sharp on the edge as well which probably contributed. Keep a look out and let me know if any of you guys have the same issue!

Thank you. I really just sat and banged that out without thought, just pure excitement..lol I know just what you mean. I found Mark randomly on my own while working in a record shop in '97. We had to organize and constantly update promo disc for our listening station, which meant the old stuff got shuffled out for us to take home. Songs for a Blue Guitar just happened to be one of my pulls one day and needless to say I have never been the same. Shitty part is, when I wanted to know more, all of the 4AD material was out of print on CD as well, so the difficulty of putting my hands on Mark's material has been a paper chase since day one. Getting this set only feels right after only getting to see RHP live once before they split, and him solo only 4 times ever. It's kinda like the "Gold Watch" of our realm right? lol

Very nice box indeed. I will post pics later when I get a chance. Jackets are nice but not super heavy duty, and the records are snuuuuuug in the inners. Sounds? Oh Lort help me... I have never heard DCH except on cd and the range of highs and the bass is AMAZING. You can tell they polished them up, or maybe that's how they always sounded and I was just doomed to digital hell. The bronze is more like a gold but with the occasional random black streak. Had me thinking some crap had found it's way onto them during manufacture. Happy... that's about all I can say. My kiddos are all wearing headphones now... "Dad's sad music is boring but pretty... I hate it!"

Got mine!!! The pizza box is fairly nice and is glossy with the logo screen printed on it. They packed it very well also. Mine is #671/1500. I'm hesitant to tear open the shrink, gonna let it breathe and settle in for a moment before I give DCH a spin and try the new coffee maker I got this morning as well. My what a weekend

Has anyone here gotten the Better Homes and Gardens 8-Cube Organizer from Walmart? If so, can you tell me if the dimensions of it allow for decent storage without issue?

I managed to get an order in to Bullmoose the other day, but also have had my local guy digging since they started with those teaser pics on Facebook, so hopefully I will manage one between the two of them. I'm more than open to a decent trade for sure if I somehow get two in hand.
