to a lot of people they dont "collect" vinyl. they buy music. when you were buying cds did it feel like you were collecting them? thats the whole point i was trying to make... buying records doesnt necessarily make somebody a collector, but buying multiple variants of the same album definitely does

i dont care at all... it is just the easiest way to separate the 2 types of vinyl buyers... the collector and the person who just wants the album on vinyl

I lurk VLV every once in a while, the format just kind of messes with me, I like having a separation between a sale board and an everything else board. yeah i dont post on there or anything either, but it just seems like they dont really give a shit about variants and shit like that. it seems like something that most people will eventually grow out of.

i'll still order things if the price is right on them... but i'm not a fan of pre-orders. its too hard to have a large lump of money sitting seperately from everything else, and when there are 2 or 3 going on at the same time its almost impossible to keep everything seperate. it ends up that money from one release pays for things other than just its manufacturing.

Every time I see a person (usually it's a woman) over say 25 reading any of the twilight books, I feel sad for the world tell me about it! my sister read all of them and shes 26 and i made fun of her every day. in her defense she reads a ton of legit books, but why the fuck she decided to get into those is beyond me
