Second, yeah I like having the variant, it's an OCD thing and when I can get the variant for the same price I rather do that and I don't feel like paying premium for a standard black when it can drop in price any time. I only made an exception because I found a decent deal for the variant, I would have bought it from a record store if I could. The Bowie store was ridiculously expensive for a clear but if I could get the clear for a 1$ more than I'm okay with that.

What you seem to don't understand is that this is a company that has a reputation for offering bad customer service and screwing their consumers over. They constantly ship damaged products, their stores always sell the stuff at maximum value, their customer service team isn't too bright and they know nothing about how to run a business. Reason they've survived the book store drought? No competition. So yeah they deserve to go out of business. For the employees of the stores, they'll find other work and better work for better pay and for those who work at corporate, good riddance. This is the last straw for a lot of people especially me too. I had my copy ordered before his death and I really wanted the clear version and boom they cancel my order like they did for a lot of people

Thanks, I've kind of given up hope on them shipping my order. They screwed up and the odds of them getting another batch are very slim and not sure if I should just wait on a price drop on the black one if there'll ever be one.

The pessimism is ridiculous. The reasons the 2012 or 13 shows didn't work, 1. Omar lost his mother. 2. There was some bad blood still 3. they did it for the money. They didn't even do a tour out of Texas, that's how failed that reunion was. No one asked them to do this, no one paid for this. Cedric and Omar had a fight but then reunited as newer version of Mars Volta as Antemasque and that sounded better than the last couple of Mars Volta albums. I feeling that they're renengerized, not forcing anything and having fun and that's why this album/tour will be fun.

It'll be in stores don't worry, they said there's a lot of copies and it'll be in record stores. I'm waiting on Bullmoose's option.

For me sheer laziness and the nearest "good" record store being an hour away =/ And for some of the ones I was looking for like Low & Heroes, they've been 15$ or more for the last year on discogs and now they're way more. I wasn't going to pay more than what they originally were, so I'll have to look in record stores for a copy. I backed out on buying the other albums in this boxset as they're 20$ on bullmoose. 10$ more for a brand new mint copy.

So that possibly means the next boxset would be Thin White Duke era meets Berlin years? That puts me in a dilemma as to buying Low used and Heroes used (every copy I've seen of them is in super worn out sleeves)

You think it'd be okay to get copies of Heroes, Low & Scary Monsters now used or there's a possibility of a reissue? What was the story behind the David Bowie Five Years box, was it supposed to be an annual thing?

They keep saying they're back ordered Many others have ordered it pre monday and alot of them didn't get their copies. They oversold and are now quoting that theyre backordered. B&N customer service always bombs on things like this. Clear should have been an exclusive with another company or just record stores
