  1. Mizmor - Yodh live at roadburn pre orders https://www.burningworldrecords.com/collections/roadburn-records/products/mizmor-yodh-live-at-roadburn-2018-2lp-vinyl-pre-order-hell
  2. No worries, it was interesting hearing them talk about Haughm, there is clearly some angst there... But listing their essential Agalloch tracks and talking about the early days of the band was really cool (not to mention numerous Melvins tour bus drivers). Also got my fallen empire stuff from 20buck spin and the Skaphe is the red vinyl, somehow not warped despite sitting on the porch all Arvo in the 46 degree heat
  3. Just found this pod cast: https://hatepod.podbean.com Episode 20 must listen for any Agalloch fans, enjoy!
  4. I forgot this one in fact I think you all did: The Armed - Only Love
  5. I forgot this one in fact I think you all did: The Armed - Only Love
  6. Yeah pretty psyched for this shit hot line up! Saw We Lost the Sea twice recently once with a vocalist for the Quietest Place on Earth reissue tour, and once playing Departure Songs in full both times were excellent. Never seen Russian Circles, it is rare I can take the Wife to see bands we both like so should be fun
  7. That's the other thing I don't really keep track of what I've listened too either. The list takes dedication... I posted my favourite albums in the extreme metal thread but in the interests of contributing something meaningful to this thread my favourite album released last year was Yob - Our Raw Heart The new Sleep was also great. As were Slugdge and Conjurer for new bands to my consciousness. A really late contender was Acathexis (released 12/26)
  8. Ok, I guess everyone has their own kinda 'criteria' so your bottom few are like 60% good ranging up to wall to wall bangers at the top of the list?
  9. Yeah I'm the same I listen to music all the time but to be able to fully explore 30+ albums from the same 12 month period is nigh on impossible for me... I do listen to a lot of extreme metal that has hour plus albums and songs lengths to match which I'm sure is sometimes harder to digest than other genres... Not trying to have a go at anyone just posing the question
  10. Question for people who have top 30+'s Do you really love the bottom 10-15 in your list? or are they just, meh I listened to this a few times wasn't bad...?
  11. Krallice just dropped a new ep https://krallice.bandcamp.com/album/wolf-ep A bit more death/doom influenced than I am familiar with (admittedly I am multiple albums behind with these guys) digging it. That intro on the first track
  12. Can anyone recommend some good metal related pod casts? Been listening to Toilet ov hell - not enough tunes, and Full metal hipster - a bit dry...
  13. Also the band is called Pissgrave... The album cover is not nice to look at but what would you expect. I haven't heard them but looks pretty standard death/grind/gore fare to me.
  14. First batch of fallen empire up on 20 buck spin looks like the Skaphe reds are all gone... a heap of Gilead media stuff as well, grabbed that Mizmor EP with the quickness.
  15. whole album, tooooo good, patiently waitin on 20 buck spin to get all the Fallen empire stuff in...
  16. I've enjoyed these albums plenty of stuff I need to catch up on too. Yob - Our Raw Heart (clear number 1 the rest in no particular order) Depravity - Evil Upheaval Panopticon - The Scars of Man On The Once Nameless Wilderness Slugdge - Esoteric Malacology Un - Sentiment Sleep - The Sciences Uada - Cult of a Dying Sun Conjurer - Mire Det Eviga Leendet - Lenience
  17. Went and checked out Hexis (from Denmark) last night Playing a tiny room to about 30 people, holy smokes they destroyed the place in 25 mins flat, twas relentless and wonderful... Blackened hardcore I the vein of Celeste: https://hexisband.bandcamp.com/music
  18. This album changed my musical perceptions: https://earthsl.bandcamp.com/album/angels-of-darkness-demons-of-light-i Earth get lumped with the whole drone metal schtick when they really couldn't be anything further from that.... This album is engaging, relaxing and stimulating, hope you enjoy
  19. Haha, Yeah kiwi splatter is apt. how it looks really doesn't matter much at all to me.
