You don't have to be committed to a house for 30 years. You can sell it, lease it out, etc. I don't know anyone (adults, friends, whatever) who has only owned 1 house their entire life. I understand that, and I don't know anyone who has lived in the same house their entire life either. It just seems like an overly complicated process that I'd rather not take part in, I suppose. I mean, I want to move every couple of years. At least for the next decade or so. Maybe when I grow up, I'll have different ideas of home ownership and whatever.

ohmygod. You don't know how much I feel you. I had to walk half of the way home from the south loop all the way to bridgeport last night because my bus took fucking forever. And I was completely soaked, my laptop which had been my backpack was being all crazy because it got so wet and cold.

I can't stop thinking how scary buying a house seems everytime I pass over this thread. I don't think I could be committed to something for 30+ years. Nor, do I think I want to stay in one place that long. I'm going to become a vagrant if this whole career thing doesn't work out for me.

Yeah, I love Adaptation! I felt like I needed Cliff Notes when watching Synecdoche, NY. I'd like to watch it again though. I don't think anyone can "get it", especially after only one viewing. For the first half I was all "whoa, this is awesome blahblahblah" then the second half I was like "whoa, what's happenng blahblahblah" Kauffman is a hero, he is an amazing screenwriter. I mean, the fact that he wrote a film like "Eternal Sunshine..." still blows my mind. I guess the fact that that film exists in general is still too amazing of a concept.

You're totally right with Surfer Rosa, but I do have agree with Left & Leaving as far as the weakerthans are concerned. Also, maybe it's nostalgia, but I'm such a sucker for Through With Being Cool. Since I was a little girl. For me personally, I like how raw someone like Daniel Johnston feels. Maybe I'm full of shit, but it feels really fucking real to me, listening to some of the words he writes. They're chilling and full of this childlike simplicity you don't see a lot anymore. Staying on topic of the film, I thought it was really well done. I've been super into documentaries lately, and that's always one I enjoy.

is this show worth it? be real people. I trust you guys..should i watch it? I like it so far. I REALLY REALLY LOVE Jason Segel. & he's amazing in it thus far.

i've recently watched: "Shrooms" a FILM about 6 "sexy co-eds" who travel to Ireland to take some kIlLeR shrooms and all of the horror that comes from it. "The Shawshank Redemption" <33333 "Being John Malkovich" fucking greatest movie. "Sister Wendy" is on instant Netflix, so I watched some of her. Started the first seasons of "Pushing Daisies". I watch an unhealthy amount of movies and television shows.
