  1. I liked them when I was 14, but I feel like I wouldn't anymore.
  2. A LEAGUE OF OUR OWN. no, but seriously, I don't get baseball. I'm actually pretty resentful towards it, especially lately because I live right by Cellular Field where the White Sox play, and it really sucks when all these assholes come into my hood and bitch about how it's ghetto (it's not) and then my usual 10 minute bus ride turns into a 30 minute. It really blows. Field of Dreams guys? C'mon. I really do like The Sandlot, I can't lie about that.
  3. I love you for quoting this. I want dustin hoffman then, now. but seriously, top 5, hands down.
  4. I still love Billy Bob. Well, I haven't really thought about him since 2003 when Bad Santa came out, and it was 2001 before that when Monster's Ball did, but those two totally do it for me. in every way.
  5. i have a love hate relationship with Conor Oberst. I loved him until I started to hate him for making stupid music.
  6. no it's not. they need money pretty badly. it's pretty sad. I mean $70 for a key? jesus. i'd totes just call a locksmith. Insurance covers that sometimes. If you send them the receipt they'll reimburse you. I've had to do it like three times. I'm terrible about those kinds of things. Once in high school I left my 1987 crown vic parked on the street during a half day and left my keys in the ignition. while it was running. with the doors unlocked. How it wasn't stolen, I'll never know, but forever be grateful!
  7. I just recently made a decision similar to this. I was initially going to go to school for film studies back in Michigan, even though what I really wanted to be doing is WRITING films, not becoming a critic or whatever. Film is an industry that, very much like journalism, is about networking. I'll say that again, NETWORKING. It could possibly be the most important word of your career. Anyways, after I went to a community college in Michigan and earned all of my gen ed credits I made the big leap and decided to go to Columbia College in Chicago, which is ridiculously expensive, pretentious but amazing nonetheless. But, I definitely recommend doing your gen eds at a community college, even if you were to do them during spring and summer semesters while you attended MU during regular fall and winter ones. It was probably the best decision I've ever made, and this time next year, I'll be typing from L.A., or so my adviser told me today.
  8. I usually am like that too. I've only owned apple computers since I graduated from high school. I don't even remember how to use a pc half the time. But, something about the iPhone that doesn't interest me. I honestly think it may be because all I can think about is how many fingerprints your screen would get ...
  9. the "happy obama chia pet" looks frighteningly like one.
  10. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/06/obama-chia-pet-pulled-fro_n_183762.html uhhhh ... two poses, huh?
  11. well seeing this thread is about this 16 year old kid beating a elderly woman, i don't see why it would pertain to this, unless the dead babies are intertwined into a version of THE ARISTOCRATS joke with rape, sodomy, and 16 year old kids, and the elderly. Then go ahead. whoaaaa.
