Damn, I waited too long on Foxes and now it looks like it’s gone. What are the chances if will be pressed again?

It's still available on the UK store!

I ordered last night and got shipping confirmation earlier this morning. Only downside is 12 quid for shipping, but I'm glad I didn't miss out on it.

    Uh. OK.

So I've been home all evening. My parents came home from doing whatever and tell me they found a package in our porch. Sure enough it's one of them shitty-ass Euro LP mailers and with a Belgium return address. Open it up and it's a sealed copy of TF: Deviations 1. Still beat up a bit w/ one crimped-ass corner and creases diagonally across the top left. No packing slip or anything. I never got any email notice either. I know at one point weeks and weeks ago, Sand(Shit)bag tweeted back at me that they'd replace the damaged replacement jacket they had sent weeks prior to that.

I feel like I've entered Bizarro World or something.

I had a similar experience - TDS, Fragile, Broken, and NTAE all came shipped in a flimsy mailer with no extra protection, and the corners of Broken and The Fragile were particulary messed up, so I asked for replacement sleeves for those. A few weeks later, I get this huge box - they shipped a sleeve for Broken which they sandwiched between two heavy pieces of cardboard, wrapped in bubble wrap, put this thick 1" foam (like pipe insulation) around the corners, put another layer of bubble wrap over that, then boxed the whole thing. Needless to say, it was in perfect condition, and made me wonder why they didn't send the records like that to begin with.

A week later, I still hadn't gotten anything for The Fragile, so I emailed customer service again to check, and they said it was shipped separately. A few days after that, I received new sealed copies of TDS and NTAE - each in its own unprotected mailer, and TDS was comically beat up, like someone was throwing the box at a wall or something. A few days after that, I got a sealed copy of The Fragile, also packaged shittily, but fortunately in decent shape. Then, a week ago, I got another sealed copy of Fragile Deviations, which I had never even asked about. So, I basically ended up with two of each of them - no wonder these were so expensive, if everyone gets multiple copies!

Do the records themselves have smashed corners? Id like to see that!

How do the records sound? Do they sound like the jacket has a crushed corner?

Dude...they really fucked me over - the records don't even have corners! They're all circle-shaped and shit! Those cheap bastards must have cut them off, or maybe they broke off in shipping.

that sucks... im with you. normal preorder/order and that happens i would probably let it slide. for the price and how long we had to wait for these though i would definitely ask for replacements.

Yeah exactly...I have plenty of records that arrived with sleeves in worse shape, but came from a small indie distro or were sent from Japan or something, so as long as the vinyl was in good shape I didn't care. But given the delay, cost, and the fact that a major label should have a better grasp on how to properly pack things, I figure I might as well ask.

On a brighter note - holy shit these sound great! TDS and The Fragile are two of my all-time favorites and, while I haven't owned either on vinyl before, I've listened to the original CDs hundreds of times.  And these blow them out of the water.  I had a little bit of surface noise on the B side of TDS that a wet cleaning took care of, but otherwise sound perfect.

  5. Dammit.

So, 8 months later, Fragile, Broken, TDS, and NTAE showed up...and all of them have smashed corners.

All 4 were shipped together in one of those amazon-type mailers, with no padding or corner protection of any kind. I have literally never asked for a replacement sleeve before but might have to here. Especially since I waited 8 months and they couldn't be bothered to give a shit about packing this decently.

  6. If this were eBay, right now I'd be giving Polyvinyl A++++++++++++ feedback

I ordered the bundle with the pennant and was charged only $3.84 for media mail shipping, so wasn't sure how it would arrive.  I was thinking rolled up in a poster tube or such, but instead got it in a full 30"x14"x8"box  with the pennant laying flat and securely fastened, and with the record in a separate box inside, along with enough packing material to start my next several bonfires- it definitely must have cost them more to ship, but I'm certianly glad they did it in such a manner to keep everything in such great shape.
