Got the same email. Really hope that means they didn't sell out before they got their copies in.

I actually see people with the tricolor posting to Instagram. So I'm assuming Amazon was probably never actually gonna get these or they sold out too soon? Maybe they'll end up sending the second pressing or maybe we'll get lucky. Guess we'll see.

  2. A new, thinly-veiled EP from His Unholy Mess. Recorded in self-isolation, "The Curse of Mister Pope" reveals a softer, less excitable troubadour during his most quiet hours. Perhaps he is beginning to understand the error of his ways, gently daydreaming until the next beer (Cold One), missing the night life (Midnight Special Fo Sho) and his desire to change his ways.
"Indie rock is such a hipster joke, this is the curse of Mister Pope."
What exactly is the Curse of Mister Pope? Whether it be his unwillingness to slow down, or his apathy towards the "bedroom pop" genre as a whole he has come to be known for in recent years, or perhaps just another display of his unapologetic wit.

Can anyone comment on the sounds quality of the 2xLP vs the single LP? Might have to grab it. Love this album.

Though it takes more effort to listen to, I prefer the 2xLP. I have the 2009 single-LP pressing and the sound quality isn't as good. They compressed the sound on earlier issues to fit the album onto one record. The 2xLP definitely sounds better. I complained about the tracks sounding higher pitched when I first purchased the 2xLP version, but it turns out my turntable was spinning at around 36/37 rpm instead of 33, so that was my own fault, not the record. I prefer the packaging too. Look at the reviews on the Discogs page if you're on the fence. https://www.discogs.com/Green-Day-Nimrod/release/10927294

Bummer. If it's any consolation, I have the first pressing and though it sounds fine, the packaging didn't hold up too well. The jacket came unglued after about 3 years. Not that big of a deal since it's an easy fix, but still annoying considering I have records that are 40+ years old and haven't had this problem. I'm sure these jackets will hold together better, plus the record is colored, so that's cool. Hope you can snag a copy of this repress!

  5. I was looking over the IG page that exposed them a few days ago during my break at work. I've never been a fan of the label or any of its bands. Just reading what the victims have been sharing is upsetting. Such a shitty scene over there. Shoutout to these people for coming forward and exposing them.

  6. My label is releasing a limited run of Quarrel Reef's "Fluorescent Lights" on tape. All proceeds from physical and digital purchases will go to The Okra Project, a collective tackling hunger issues faced by Black Trans communities. The tapes will be limited to 25 copies. Hand-printed and cut artwork, hand-stamped and dubbed tapes. https://commontimetapes.bandcamp.com/album/fluorescent-lights <-- check it out there. It's also streaming on Spotify if you'd like to add it to a playlist.
