  1. Okay, okay, okay- It's been a bit. Sorry about that. Busy getting this converge stuff up. If you got black instead of color-that's an easy fix. Email [email protected] We had a few that were packaged wrong from our pressing plant. We had boxes that were mislabled (Funtimes having Bad Religion How Could Hell boxes with Suffer records inside) so it happens. We can take care of that so email up and find out. Skips: I checked these out and none of mine skipped. So we're seeing some variables here. IF YOUR SHIT SKIPS EMAIL [email protected] with the following info: 1) Order Number 2) Record Title and Record Variant 3) Location of the Skip. These are all original plates (except Offspring) and some people are having issues and others aren't. So it's not all records which is bizarre. If there's a flaw uniformly or just a bit here and a bit there-there are things that can be done. I just need to know how widespread this is. So you're actually helping me out if you can get back to me that every record is flawed in one spot or not. ps. I'm a huge fan of the dude being Senator Joe McCarthy shouting "see, I told you all they were communists. See?!?" Thumbs up, dude.
  2. 400 from our store 400 from the band on tour 2200 regular. We will have 100 of the bands version to sell. Prob do a package deal and some loose. Details beyond that TBA. Same on Frank Turner.
  3. Yes...you're right. How silly of us. We really are stupid at math. Except Suffer, No Control, So Long and Thanks and Punk In Drublic are sold out. I'd better go add 2700 into inventory. Thanks for catching that. We were starting to wonder what happened to our pile of money and we couldn't figure out why we couldn't swim in it Scrooge McDuck style this morning. That was it. Just so you know, I'm snarky and I like to make Duck Tales references and post funny images like sandy vaginas. Don't take it personally.
  4. Shipping update: If you ordered before noon on Friday, your order has been packed and will ship today. But if you ordered after noon on Friday through the holiday weekend, your order is being put together over the next two days. There's a shitload of orders, but they're moving really fast over there with a few people packing all day. I'll post an update tomorrow once we find out what's still being packed.
  5. Is it "Grape Soda Karl" or "Grapes o' Da Karl"--like Grapes o' Wrath? Grape Soda Karl.... "The man asked for a grape soda, CARL!"
  6. What "those" are you talking about? The ones we have right now? Because NoFX, BR and The Offspring are pretty pinnacle bands for the label is my guess. I wasn't there when those calls were made. I'm just the newly hired GM of "shit no one has the time to do but always talks about doing" i.e. the webstore development.
  7. I'm trying to find the PO's to answer this conclusively for people. This is not a separate pressing from yellow that is out there These were all pressed in early-mid 2008 and some made it out to distro (a few orange ribbed and suffers made it out) and shouldn't have. Blue LA should be available in stores and distro right now. I'm trying to see what the "Rare" version was-and we could only find the yellow in a 300 +/- 10% in the same shelf as the pink NOFX, green No Control etc-I pre-supposed that this was the"epitaph exclusive" as the warehouse manager told me. Sorry the information is somewhat unclear here. That's a whole story separate from this messageboard conversation. On all future pressings, it'll be more accurate.
  8. I think that there's quite a few of us wondering the same. I think that a board member on the Fat Wiki placed an order for it...I guess we'll find out. Or maybe the board member here that works for Epitaph could answer that one for us There was Yellow and Blue pressed. This kind of falls into the "pressing history" because Epitaph printed vinyl, but not from a collector/documentarian mentality-so they just printed shit and that was that. Most of it was almost always on black, but with Liberal Animation, we are currently trying to locate the blue because it was pressed and there's supposedly 4 boxes of 60 somewhere. 'Tis a big warehouse. Not really an answer...or is it.
  9. I asked production and the PO system from then has been changed. She has a pretty solid memory (the same person has been manufacturing everything since the early 90s) but she doesn't remember for sure Her gut instinct is that Epitaph never pressed that on red-and she usually remembers those color changes. And as I'm typing this, I googled and found a listing on Ebay, and the labels appear to definitely be bootlegs: here's why: All of Epitaph's LP labels have been printed by the same printer in LA since the beginning of time. So from the late 90's and prior, the labels were almost always purple/silver/black on white. Rancid definitely was. If you click the link below, the labels are very clearly just black & white. That's a give-away sign to me that this version is not an epitaph version. I can't say for sure red wasn't pressed by Epitaph, but based on history and in this particular listing below, I'd be doubtful of the red vinyl copies. http://cgi.ebay.com.my/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390072942568 And here's the original labels that have been printed since the album came out. That art hasn't changed. Epitaph switched logos and fonts in 1994/1995 so this came out after that. http://kingsroadmerch.com/files/image/original/1/4/4/1448.jpg One project someday is a vinyl pressing history, which would include everything. That's a huge fucking undertaking, so don't hold your breath. It's probably going to be over Christmas break or something when there's not as much going on. Everyone's too busy to stop what they're doing and dig for some of that shit, let alone, try to track down copies of all of it.
  10. I didn't see dude's original post re: Cash Grab. Agree to disagree. I was just psyched to google image search a literal vagina made of sand. You have to agree-that photo is worthy of a Pulitzer. Tons of boxes are already filling up a bin in the warehouse. I saw it this morning/afternoon. They're cranking all hands on deck, so even with a shitload of orders yesterday & this morning, I'd expect most of them to be into the world with shipping confirmations today & tomorrow.
  11. It's hard to say it's a cash grab considering these have been sitting in our nice, airy, unwarping records warehouse for at least a year just hanging out.....sitting around....and if it was a cash grab, we'd both be able to admit the prices would be higher than $9.99-11.99. So let's just take a deep breath, cool?
  12. YEsssssssSSS. For what it's worth, I'd dig some Joykiller on vinyl, too. What about the 999 other copies?
  13. People aren't buying 300 of each record x 8 or 10. And considering we haven't emailed/blogged/tweeted/myspaced/facebooked this...it's not that surprising.
  14. I hit up travis right after we launched and said "post that shit on VC and see what kids say about it" because-well-VC board would care about this stuff first. Inventory is set so you will NOT get something you didn't order unless something weird happens. What else did people ask? Um...yeah, for the kid who ordered 40lbs of different shit...i'll fix that later. Against The Grain will be repressed soon. Generator will be repressed soon. S&M Airlines will be repressed. Frank Turner is being pressed (both records we have). Everything Sucks will be repressed. Refused catalog will be pressed. Don't be surprised if something happens with the DVD AUDIO version (extended shit) ends up on 180 gram. Just need to work the details-not any time soon. ETID is currently being pressed. All in due time. And if you're truly a music/vinyl fan...Anti- has some surprises up the sleeve. Boycott away.
  15. yeah Rev took me a long ass time to find. HOLY SHIT, I forgot to add Rev to the store. PM me and I'll PM you when I turn it on live. I have about 30 of those.
  16. Most LPs range from 9.99 to 12.99, some 14.99. I just got word on some royalty heads ups, so some records were bumped a whole dollar. Can you believe that? So you early jumpers got a sale.
  17. - All of the new colored vinyl is repressed from the original plates and that was done over a year ago. That's BR Suffer, No Control, NOFX Ribbed, Heavy Petting Zoo, Shoes, Punk in Drublic and Liberal Animation, and the Offspring records. If it says "EXCLUSIVE" then that's a re-press. If it's just normal...that's just...normal. - If something says "we found it" or "all that's left of" then that's original pressings. All re-pressings were of 2000 or 1000. 700 or 1700 black/common which has all since been sold for the most part and then the colored counterparts. If we have it on black it's in the store.
  18. It's been a really long while, but I THINK the black is the first pressing then the brown is after that. I'm really not too certain, but I think thats how it went. It's been over a decade since I would've had that information logged permanently. Your best bet is to ask the band. Paddy has a pretty awesome memory for stuff like that, all drinking himself to blackout jokes aside.
  19. You dont know what you're talking about ....well, I heard from a friend of mine....
  20. I wouldnt be suprised if something like this happened soon. ....either would I.... ....I wouldn't be surprised if we're just working out the shipping calculator and some store organization changes on the front end... ...I wouldn't be surprised if we found 25 releases and variants people thought were out of print or had no idea existed...or that leaked out of the warehouse on accident and sold for hundreds on Ebay.... ...not much surprises me these days... ...I love the ellipsis as a literary device...
  21. There's still a handful of packages left. So you have two options. You can wait. We will make some changes today. We will post some new options today. Or you can order now and get refunded. It's the same ends if you can put a few bucks on hold for a day or two.
