  1. For those that care... Before undergoing the pain in the ass of data entry, is there any interest in old Epitaph records from the mid-90s? Say $10-12 for RKL, SNFU, Down By Law, Poison Idea, stuff that we've found in our warehouse re-organization? We found 30 or 60 of some stuff I'm stoked on, but I don't know if anyone else will care. We've tested one out from each title, and it plays fine, but we're not guaranteeing that they're error free. Still interested? We also found boxes of the Frontier vinyl that we legally cannot sell as well as the first two Black Keys records, the Fat Possum stuff we did way back...that we're going to give away or destroy. Maybe "buy a sale record and put something in your order comments and we give them away if we feel like it. Haven't figured out yet, we just know that Suicidal, Circle Jerks and Christian Death LPs are rad and we can't sell them and destroying them is environmentally unfriendly. Be honest here- Some of this falls under "funny" but not necessarily "yeah, I'd drop $10 on that." And it can't count as a "cash grab" if we're selling the stuff for cheap. It's more to just know if we should save our time or not.
  2. When you use quotations, it sounds sketchy. When you call it "we fired four people, hired five new people, and we've begun organizing the new warehouse in preparation for inventory," it sounds more genuine. We only sold about 850 to allow the band 100 of their own to sell and extras to allow for customer service. The band never took it and life moved on. We received roughly 1050 (overages)... so after the band got some stock for their own uses, we're selling it. I think it's cool. Hope you do, too.
  3. What records did you buy? One of the converge records was set as the default, so if you got You Fail Me, it wasn't set to vinyl, which would cause this. If so, email Cody at [email protected] and get your money back. I like being able to talk down to Travis as a normal customer. Makes me feel like a man. It must be how God feels...when HE'S holding a gun.
  4. www.socialdstore.com 1000 copies on Yellow 2xLP. 2500 copies on Red 2xLP. 5000 on Black 2xLP. Exclusive shirts and other restocks in there, as well as Social D's new store is awesome. The record is fucking amazing. And when I say "fucking" i mean "absofuckinglutely" and you know why? Because it I don't get paid any differently to say it so. If I wanted to say it sucked, I could, and you could forward this post to the band. But I didn't say that. It's amazing. It's recorded all analog so it's got a more raw feel to the guitars than previous albums, but it sounds classic. "Diamond In The Rough" and "Still Alive" are worth the purchase price alone. Well...that and the Ebay flipping.
  5. New plates and new parts and new print. The prior ones were some combination of old plates, old print, or they couldn't find the PO's to know what was paid, so we charged $11-12 because we're cool sometimes with shit like that. And as for media mail, it's an option. What were you ordering? It should 100% be there and there could be a glitch in an item causing that to not work. We have had media mail since we started the stores. As for shipping prices, every LP in a box with a little extra padding is 1 lb. We had a lot of 1 lb packages end up at 17 or 18 ounces on BR, which sucks, so we're now estimating all LPs will be 17 oz. going forward. Sorry.
  6. Last year we had those records sitting around forever. We've re-tested all of these so we should be good. These are proper represses with new parts so we won't have the skip issues...at least that we know of.
  7. It should be pretty reasonable, but with a lot of LPs, the calculator can be thrown off sometimes. Feel free to email us if it's wacky.
  8. Today is going to be nutso. I'd say 10am PST would be your most successful time. Pages to bookmark and use (since they all have exclusive shit) and don't forget that our site cookies so you can shop in all of these stores and keep one big shopping cart. www.socialdstore.com (for the rarest version of the social D. Record and a pretty fucking awesome t-shirt) www.epitaphstore.com (for the catalog, some customer service releases and other cool shit shipping right away-NOT as pre-order) www.convergecultstore.com (for some other stuff that's real cool and some $10 shirts) www.frankturnerstore.com (For buddies and the New Ep) www.tomwaitsstore.com.com (only 150 left of the red 180 gm versions of his first four records. Let's call it 10:15 for shits & giggles, cool?
  9. We have 4 servers so the image you may see MAY be blank but that should fix itself depending on which server you get AND when you check it out. We're proud to be the only US seller (that we or the band know about) on this release. This was released in Canada and outside of a few scattered imports, this is now available in the USA. For vinyl fans, it's on 180 gram and sounds wicked. Amazon is charging $26.99 for the CD. Not sure if the vinyl is available anywhere else. If you like John K. or the Weakerthans or Jim Bryson...you're a pure fool for not jumping on this. It's so fucking good. www.theweakerthansstore.com www.anti.com/store www.epitaphstore.com
  10. Nov. 16th will be crazy. We have what we call "reserves" which is stock we set aside for customer complaints, warped records, lost shipments, and so on. Bands included in this next launch are crazy. In no order: Bouncing Souls Bad Religion Converge Descendents Social Distortion Weezer Frank Turner Refused Motion City Soundtrack Dillinger Escape Plan NOFX Dropkick Murphys I think that's it. We also found a few Dag Nasty "Four On The Floor" CDs in the move. Anyone want that bad boy?
  11. We are going live on Nov 16th because three records were delayed and we're launching in Sync with Social D's pre-order. It's going to be nutty. Sorry if I misled you. I didn't upload my outlook calendar to the page.
  12. THIS! I'm listening to Bone Machine right now and I really wish it was on my turntable not my ipod. Considering the response to these, I think the Waits camp are now on board with this idea, what it means to people and they will be more willing to push for these to happen. If I were a betting man, if this is to continue, which is entirely possible, the most likely step is the rest of the Asylum years, but still- Heartattack & Vine, Foreign Affairs and Blue Valentine are pretty rad in their own right.
  13. Yes. Because we state a delivery time at the point of purchase, we charge and collect at the time of order.
  14. Pallets arriving Wednesday. Anyone know any good armies of elves? Good news is that we shipped a few boxes to test how these custom cases endured the UPS mangling. We have a winner folks. These things can be used to play football.
  15. www.kingsroadmerch.com/tom-waits For Internationals: www.tomwaitsstore.com There's a press release I'm supposed to stick to. For purposes of VC... Anti-, Tom Waits Official Store, and TOMWAITS.COM are stoked to announce the release of Limited180 gram red vinyl versions of the first four Asylum releases. Closing Time, The Heart of Saturday Night, Nighthawks at the Diner and Small Change are up for pre-order on either Red or Black 180 gram vinyl. Those UNITED STATES customers who pre-order by December 18 and DO NOT choose media mail should have their packages arrive by December 24. All of the masters were created from the original tapes and mastered for vinyl by Gavin Lurssen...he's good. They are all with original artwork. Obviously. Editorial. Someone please pinch the music fan in me. Thank you.
  16. KR Europe may be getting them, but the final price won't be too far off. Cost of $199 is the same, and even shipping these by freight overseas, it's about $30-50 per box when shipped in huge quantities. Then there's import taxes that have to be factored in, VAT on the sale...you're not too far off, unfortunately. We're still waiting word for this, but when all tallied, up, it's going to be close to that price tag, unfortunately.
  17. The shirt IS funny. It's an until the end of the year thing. And we are printing as many as are ordered. Everything BR is up
  18. All original masters as they were pressed on vinyl. Not the remastered versions. http://kingsroadmerch.com/bad-religion
  19. We are taking it easy on the rest of the catalog. That will be two weeks from now. With Social Distortion. And then there's Tom Waits. Converge. Grinderman. I think that's it.
