  1. And Generator is going to be repressed, but we have had a hard time finding the art films. The test presses were approved and are from the original parts, but the art films we're trying to locate. That record was done before digital graphics were so we REALLY want to use the original films before going through the process of re-creating everything. It should happen, though. And regarding skips, this applies to two people from earlier. "So if you've had any negative shit happening related to Epitaph orders, please email me at karl at epitaph dot com. DO NOT MESSAGE ME here"
  2. Email me, then. We can either refund or swap out, depending on the situation. I only had a handful of people hit me up after posting and practically begging people to email me, so the offer is still out there.
  3. further elaboration is needed instead of a long winded rambling. If I elaborate further (with pictures let's say), a clever person would be able to find the items.
  4. Dan's songs are fucking awesome. The bonus material has two Dan songs that also rule. And Dead On The Floor is one of the best alkaline trio songs ever.
  5. How about we meet halfway and have the album on gatefold as the 11 song album with the additional music material as an optional download?
  6. This isn't the official pre-order. And it's also more expensive by a $3+ per item. Save your cash and wait for Tuesday. You can also get a digital download reserved so when we decide to, you'll get the full album sometime before street date digitally.
  7. First off, I haven't been on here for a while, lurking or otherwise. It's been manic. Work here has been stupid busy and I just had a new daughter, so life has prevented me from nerding out. But we're kicking the new year off in stupid fashion. Second-if you got a $5 gift card, save it for Tuesday. Just saying that'd probably be a good idea for you. Ask Travis...I've shown him photos and I've seen most of this vinyl already. And third, Did you know that it's been over 11 years since Everything Sucks was pressed on vinyl? And the original plates sound fucking awesome still? And did you know that Against the Grain is having it's 20th birthday? And there's a bunch more. And fourth, for those NOFX record skippers out there from September, we re-ran test presses on all of the records. The good news is that they played flawlessly. No pops or skips on any of the NOFX records at all. But if you've still got a hurt heart about the "Epitaph cash grab" as one bloke called it, we'll still do our best to redeem ourselves. Fifth- Frank Turner has two LPs on Epitaph. Only one of them had test presses that passed and one has had THREE rejected rounds. The one that passed will be up for Pre-order tuesday and will be shipping at the end of the month. Sixth- forget the fact I'm at Epitaph, but skeptics about the new Alkaline Trio record are idiots. Seriously. So if you've had any negative shit happening related to Epitaph orders, please email me at karl at epitaph dot com. DO NOT MESSAGE ME here. And Virgil, if you're reading this, get back to me. You sent me a few emails, and I replied but never heard back before the holidays. Happy New Year, yo. Check out my daughter's first devilock.
  8. The shipping date is the 17th (listing says), but the records and shirts are all in our hands tomorrow, so expect shipping tomorrow or friday.
  9. I'll grab a seat for your speech where you discuss the cash flow strategies in today's music climate. Let me know when and where.
  10. http://kingsroadmerch.com/epitaph-records 500 on White 1000 on Black Shirts & Bundles available John K. Samson is the singer and songwriter for The Weakerthans, whose four albums have been universally praised by fans and critics alike, and whose extensive touring in Europe and North America over the last dozen years have won them a devoted following. This three-song solo recording, City Route 85, is the first in a series of recordings that will explore streets, roads, and highways in his home province of Manitoba. City Route 85 is the formal name for Portage Avenue, one of Winnipeg’s main thoroughfares. Samson begins his study of this storied street with the song “Heart of the Continent“, set at the corner of Portage Avenue and Memorial Boulevard, where a demolished building is resurrected by a narrator struggling to apprehend the losses and despair that haunt cities and citizens alike. “Grace General” travels west from there, a wintry drive on Portage to Grace General Hospital, seen through eyes preparing to face the death of a loved one. The closing song, “Cruise Night,” finds a young man desperate to join in the strange and sweet tradition of driving aimlessly up and down Portage Avenue, a social activity many Winnipeggers have participated in every Sunday - Available with an immediate download (once your payment clears). - We did our best to offer fair Canadian postage rates. If something appears wonky, our customer service is glad to refund any differences so you can buy more tooks and poutin. - This is set to ship on or before November 17th. Vinyl could be in as soon as Thursday and as late as the following Friday. So...we won't forget about you.
  11. This just happened to me too. Depends on the bank. We "authorize" and depending on the bank, the charges will vary. We authorize when the order is placed, but we don't "capture" until it's shipped. It's a California law we're just being on the safe side. Some banks do not charge you. Some put it in "pending" charges then remove it after a few days. Some charge you. But OUR END is always the same. Paypal is just straight up paypal like paypal is paypal.
  12. The band will have these with them starting this weekend and we've got them for the time being. The poster is actually retardedly cool. Yes, that's a word.
  13. The entire database crashed even with multiple caching efforts in place. It's going to be back up shortly. It wasn't just the site crashing but our SQL server crashed. I have no idea what that means, but a lot of people find that impressive.
  14. www.tomwaits.com is live. Check it out. Tom's first website. For visiting, you can hear 35 minutes of the "Glitter & Doom Live" Album for free to know I'm not full of shit that it's amazing. www.kingsroadmerch.com/tom-waits for Tom Waits Glitter & Doom leftover shirts, CDs, Orphans, LPs and all kinds of stuff. www.anti.com/store for Orphans, Glitter & Doom and the whole kit & kaboodle for the label. More coming soon.
  15. No need to. I promise I will give folks the heads up before this goes "officially live" aka....we announce everything that we're sitting on.
  16. - That Live Waits release *wink wink* will be full of info very soon-like...today. You may be able to pre-order it at the same time as Orphans. Just a possibility here. But when I say it's an incredible live album, I mean it's an incredible live album. Most live albums suck. They're a sloppy greatest hits, but hearing Tom's voice do what it does and how flawlessly it's put together-it only further reminds me I'm a loser to not have seen him yet. It's a must hear/own/downloadlikeadick. - Orphans graphics are a combo of proofs and digital graphics. Tests have been approved as of a while back and it's all been on the box. It looks fantastic to say the least. There are six new songs. This will be shipping in December but we figured there's a few people who would be glad to reserve a copy. - Orphans First pressing is 10k. That might sound like a lot, but keep in mind how many Waits fans there are worldwide. Tom's back catalog...I'd love to be able to solve those problems for you. I'm not fully certain that I won't be able to, but don't hold your breath. YOUR CARD WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL YOUR ORDER SHIPS so factor that into your bank accounts, folks. I'll post right as the trigger is to be pulled.
  17. OKAY. Orphans is going up within 96 hours. If you check around Monday morning I will post when the trigger has been pulled or is about to be pulled with a link. I can tell you that It will be $125 and it weighs almost 9lbs to be properly packaged. It's insane and it's worth every penny...especially the LP of unreleased songs....
  18. - Swell Season-you can just get the vinyl. It's double LP gatefold with an etching on side D. - Orphans...2009.
  19. - The Swell Season 2xLP is up for Pre-Order now (to the person who asked) - Joe Strummer is appealable (a word?) to Anti- in the same way Frank Turner could apply to Anti- people. It's gray lines, my friend and the Clash rules. - Orphans.....we are NOT going to pre-order that. It's going to be a good old fashioned order I believe. Surprises on the music side but the packaging is, in the words of Tim Armstrong, dope and sick. Anti & Epitaph stores, you can order from both. Your cart stores in your browser's cookies. We haven't started patching everything together because we just don't have enough stuff and it'd be incredibly underwhelming. www.anti.com/store www.epitaphstore.com you can put both items into one checkout cart. Just did it and confirmed it.
  20. www.anti.com/store Not as colored vinyl crazy as the Epitaph store, but we're starting humbly. We've got vinyl for every record in press from Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Neko Case, Bob Mould, William Elliott Whitmore and the roster that we have in print. We also have...CDs...I'm sure you all cared. We will be launching some pretty slick shit in the near future as well. If anyone has any unresolved problems or that hasn't been addressed related to Epitaph/Anti webstore for some reason, please email me at [email protected] and I can help take care of it. We've been slammed and I'm glad to help out.
  21. Thank you for letting me know you were not emailed yet. I told the people at the warehouse to reach out. We had less than 10 people complain about skipping records and they were all in different spots. Not that I don't believe you on the skipping-it's just easier to refund you than to fuck with reshipping and so on. I'm on it.
