There's going to be a blue deluxe for RSD Black Friday too. Went with the pinwheel even though the book and extra disc are nice. Not $100 nice though.
This. So excited to have a copy of this now!
Now, repress Slip.

Oh my god I just found out we're driving thru Richmond Saturday, they're playing with avail and quicksand. Can't believe the luck!

Open it and turn it into a bowl

I wanted the key line, but I am not a huge fan of single color prints. Got the album artwork version, cannot wait to get it

It actually is, glad they're aware and put something out. I got an email back awesome distro USA just an hour ago letting me know my records coming in early april
Just a note, it came today, but only after I emailed them on Wednesday and said what is going on. They said they'd work on getting it out, but they're in a backlog... I reminded them they said the same thing in March and we're almost in june. It was in the mail the next day. $5 record took 5 months to arrive

High, for sure.
I think my favorite song on this record is "Waiting For Love." Like, who knew Cave In could still write suuuper-big pop hooks?
That tone of the guitars to open that track (and throughout) is so sick

I'm stone cold sober right now and listening again, and yeah, my inebriated self was correct: This record truly is the fuckin' tits.
Scientific poll, wavering angel, was it better high or sober?

All I have to really say is that this is a fuckin' ridiculously great record. It checks all of the boxes of their best sounds and styles. And having Nate come in, shows that he's the only one who is very capably up to the task of taking care of Caleb's role.
"Wavering Angel" is by far my favorite track. It's everything perfect that is Cave In and a swirl of emotions throughout.
Easily their second best album behind Jupiter.

In a time where albums are delayed shipping, this is really impressive. Did they not announce the album until they had the physical records in hand?
I find download codes to be pointless, I never use them, and just stream the album somewhere

Can they repress the IATA record?

Some poor saps out there are going to whine that this Cave In record isn’t “dynamic” or varied enough, but the energy and riffs are simply relentless in the best way. It’s too early to confidently gush but first impressions have me feeling like the album’s momentum stays consistent front to back… which is impressive when you consider the runtime. I enjoy[ed] Final Transmission but this is a different kind of monster altogether.
I feel that. side C and D are just so epic. hearing those singles mixed in with the rest of the album is just so good. reckoning going into the last track thats like 15 minute 'cavein take of zeppelin' is incredible.

got my copy, holy shit is this thing epic. it looks amazing, too.

I'm not counting on seeing any vinyl by the time they make it to Brooklyn. It also looks like tickets for their shows on the secondary now go for roughly the price of one of the colored variants. I was thinking of going to Brooklyn Steel in addition to the Queens show but not for $165.
Stfu the tickets are going for that?!?

This is going to be the best album of the year, I am feeling it. These three songs are fucking killer

New single is good!

It's the only album of IATA I don't own, and has a lot of sentimental things with it (met my wife, made some incredible friends, etc. With this as the soundtrack). Anyone have a copy they're willing to part with?

My guess for the secret Saturday headliner is SDRE. Anybody else got any hunches?
backup guess is FSF.
Both solid guesses!

Man, I saw live album and I got so excited this was the live recording bootleg from the early 2000s. I honestly can't remember much of it other than at some point they called their bus the giant silver cock outside. That recording of that set was so good! I think it was recorded in Lawrence, KS?

It was incredible. Cave in only played 5 songs, thanks to a lightning delay that pushed everything back a bit, but they were great, and quicksand was amazing, and avail was insane. Best "return to going to shows" show, can't believe I saw avail in Richmond
