  1. Or does it suck because it's free? Suck that threw your mindhole!
  2. if you're a newjack then yes, if you're OG you remember No Doubt being on really small ska comps and not being on a major label I'm just speaking from the standpoint of the scene people are referring to in this post. No Doubt didn't really co-exist with a lot of the bands mentioned. Tragic Kingdom came out in 1995. Most of the other bands in this thread didn't gain a foothold until a couple years later. And, yes, I'm aware of No Doubt's pre-Tragic Kingdom history.
  3. If you're referring to Sublime, they aren't from the OC. If you're referring to No Doubt, then, yeah, it's a pretty glaring omission from a "fame" standpoint. Although they were so big that they didn't really feel like part of the scene, so to speak.
  4. Action League wasn't ska -- they were a power-pop band that played with a lot of ska bands. A damn good band either way though. Suburban Rhythm, however, should definitely be on the list.
  5. At the beginning of Sirius/XM I would've agreed. But now it seems like they've gotten away from a lot of the niche programming that separated it from AM/FM. And a lot of the stations still play the same bands/songs way too often. I mean, yeah, they're better than AM/FM. But it's still not as good as it could/should be.
  6. So wrong. I love the cast of Parks, but I've watched a bunch of episodes and can't get into it at all. The Office got way less funny once Jim got promoted to co-manager.
  7. I forget the exact number, but the average radio listener listens for around 45 minutes at a time. So radio's basically on a 45-minute loop all day, with a few older songs switched out for a few different older songs.
  8. Parks & Rec > The Office Yeah. I said it.
  9. Listen, lady... why don't you take it down a notch? Or I'll be forced to exalt you again.
  10. I have spinal stenosis (which means my spine is narrowing around my spinal chord), so I have frequent lower-back pain that sometimes runs into my legs. The best thing I've found is pilates (with a physical therapist). That's helped so much.
  11. Yeah, it seems like ever since the Where the Wild Things Are trailer (where it was a perfect fit) that song's been everywhere.
  12. They definitely got the 2-point conversion call right. Such a good effort by Moore to simultaneously catch the ball and extend it over the goal line.
  13. I liked the Google, Coke (Simpsons) and TruTV (Troy Polamalu) ads. Most of the others were kinda "meh."
