  1. dammit, trying not to spend money after all the Xmas gift shopping deficit... SOLD. *sigh*
  2. hell, this would sell 1,000 copies in Dallas/Ft Worth area alone. Put it for sale at one of their shows, I bet LOTS of people would buy. SOMEBODY needs to make this happen!
  3. The songs themselves are pretty great, even though Black Candy is a bit silly... As for the sound of the recording, its' definitely not as compressed and loud as CD version, but it definitely sounds likes a victim of the loudness wars. The recording doesn't seem like it *breathes* enough, if you get my meaning. But overall great album, love the red vinyl!
  4. Nope, pretty sure mine didn' t have an insert either, and it was sealed when I bought it.
  5. It's an actual remaster, NOT the one George did before passing, and from what I hear it sounds pretty damn good. You can also purchase the album as hi-rez audio files as well.
  6. I have a copy on black I picked up at a record convention YEARS ago for $25. I LOVE this album. Anybody have any thoughts on the fancy Angel Dust vinyl re-release that was going for $40? I never picked it up b/c $40 is a little outta my range for a single disc.
  7. It's especially frustrating that it's a not so great sounding pic disc b/c I recall even reading an interview with Adam or Maynard where they claimed the mix for the vinyl was DIFFERENT than the one for the CD! Yes, both discs have audible noise, but if you crank it to 11 (as you SHOULD with this album) then it's not much of a problem! As for paying half price for a boot, yes that's good, but at that point you're just buying it just to have it on vinyl, quality be damned, b/c you know if it's a boot then it's CD-sourced and not cut for vinyl like their original albums are. But you can find good needledrops of both Aenima and Undertow in lossless format on the net. I suggest finding these b/c they are quite revelatory. No compression or ear fatigue, completely crankable. For help finding these, search google or your favorite torrent site for "pbthal" or "aenima pbthal"
  8. Hey, I loved the awesome ridiculousness of Orion! By Force and a few others were legit and great rock songs. But I agree, this will be lightyears better. I've heard live renditions of a lot of these songs and they were great! A lot (at least 1 record) should be a really rockin' side of the Cardinals that rarely popped up on the studio recordings already released. In theory, this should be the best Ryan Adams release since Easy Tiger or 29 (at least!).
  9. I'll chime in and say it's a bootleg too. Here's a link to a great resource regarding tool vinyl, and specifically spotting bootlegs: http://toolvinyl.com/fake-tool-vinyl-guide/ Surprisingly, I still see the REAL Lateralus pic disc frequently here in Texas. Was there ever a repress?
  10. I got a message from SRC saying that they should be getting the red vinyl in their hands today and shipped out soon, so things are looking up!
  11. Dangnabbit!! Then it's definitely out and not delayed! What's the story SRC?
  12. Anyone know the status of this release? I preordered the red LP from SRC and my order still says "Awaiting Fulfillment" but it was supposed to come out yesterday. I guess I'm extra anxious b/c the Pinkerton box was in the same order and I'm eager to get that too!! Thanks for any and all info.
  13. Anybody know when the Kings Road bundles with the books and orange vinyl and shirt will ship? *waiting impatiently* At least they gave us the download code early, so that's a good tide over...
