  1. *bump* I'm still thinking about getting this box set one of these days. Does anyone have any thoughts on the sound quality of the records in this box vs. originals, etc.? Thanks in advance.
  2. Here here. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. on a certain shade of *green* vinyl Make Yourself on a swirl of orange, green and black like the colors used on the cover. Morning View on Seafoam Green/Ocean Blue C'mon Travis, make this happen.
  3. Check your spam folder. For some reason emails from W.A.S.T.E./Radiohead (maybe it's the name) have been just bouncing there lately.
  4. This site is your friend: http://toolvinyl.com/fake-tool-vinyl-guide/
  5. Well, I waited in line from 6-10am on Saturday at Waterloo. It was a madhouse but very cool. I got everything I wanted except GJ's W+T and the Syd Barrett LP. Here's a pic of my haul: http://t.co/cL05w7F 7" - 2x White Stripes, Karen Elson, Death Cab, Toadies, Ryan Adams 12" - 2x Grinderman singles, Gorillaz, Foo Fighters, Deftones, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Esben & The Witch Went back later in the day for a Toadies in-store acoustic performance and that was BADASS.
  6. I got is on Saturday and think it's great! Their Prince cover RAWKS.
  7. It's not weird. Love Is Hell the album wasn't ever released on vinyl. Love Is Hell Pt. 1 & 2 Eps as 2x10" set was. Tricky lawyer-speak I know, but that's how they get ya. I have the 10" and I love it lots. It's an album that just *feels* like it should be listened to on vinyl. I'm looking forward to this new release of it too, hopefully it will be 2x12" and be the complete album. I like the version of "Anybody Wanna Take me Home" that's on the full album. A bit slower than the RnR version. I know I'm just dreaming here b/c Lost Highway is TOO LAZY for something so awesome, but what would be great is if they fit the entire album on Sides A, B, C and side D, ala Side 4 on Gold, was the Love Is Hell Japan-only bonus songs like "Black Clouds" "Gimme Sunshine" and "Father's Son" which are all fantastic tracks.
  8. I'd definitely love to get the Black Keys records!
  9. Provided it was the same or better quality than the original black...IN A HEARTBEAT! WHERE DO I SIGN UP??! Ok, I'll calm down now. I just know they would do pretty well. Deftones have seen a resurgence of spolight since Diamond Eyes, and over on the Deftones board, sharing lungs, it seems like the S/T is the reigning favorite. It was panned when released but it's really stuck with people, or at least the Deftones faithful, with each new release I read tons of posts of people wishing it sounded like the S/T. So at least the faithful would buy it, especially if it was a different color than the original. And Saturday Night Wrist is an awesomely dark masterpiece in my eyes. It has a special place in my music listening and helped me through some troubled times. I would love to own this, but never pulled the trigger the few times I saw it, and then didn't want to pay extortion prices on eBay. But it's grown on me with time and I love even more than the when it was released. Okay, I'll stop rambling. Short answer, YES. PLEASE.
  10. Maybe if all of these represses sell well they'll re-release those two as well? Anybody know how well the White Pony reissue has done? Here's hoping anyway for the other two to come out again. I could kick myself for seeing both on the shelf and never grabbing it...le sigh.
  11. Appreciate the actual conversation from some, instead of the, "OMG it's not Pop Punk on 8 different colors GTFO"
  12. I know most people on here wouldn't care, but I thought it was interesting and worth sharing. Both the vinyl and CD of the Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy is now $1.99 at Best Buy. I like a couple of songs on it, so decided I couldn't go wrong for $2.
  13. Been playing: Bioshock 2 Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time Mario Kart Rock Band 3....a shit ton and soon to be Pokemon White....I know shame, I'm all grown and excited about Pokemon...what can ya do....
  14. 311 fan from way back. I'm actually wearing the 3 eleven 7-11 style logo shirt today Yeah, I decided to give the last two another listen since I dismissed them and haven't liked much of any of their stuff since Evolver. It's funny, I know you guys said since From Chaos, but I like Evolver more. It seemed like they were stretching out their creative legs more on it. From Chaos, while great, felt like treading water, blending all the stuff that had made them popular in the past. So, it turned out, I like Don't Tread On Me *way* better than I did when it came out! Uplifter still sounds bland as hell...sigh. How would you guys rank the albums? Here's my (probably strange to some) list: 1. Soundsystem 2. Transistor 3. Music 4. Grassroots 5. 311 6. Evolver 7. From Chaos 8. Don't Tread on Me 9. Uplifter HAPPY 311 DAY!!
  15. said you never heard of them...how cool is that?! (see what I did there? =W=)
  16. It's a sad day. Easily my favorite band of the 00s, if not ever. I am not surprised, but I am completely devastated. Their statement:
  17. Looking for the out of print LPs of these two albums. Don't really have much to trade, but would buy for a reasonable price... Thanks for looking!
  18. It was vault package #5, even jokingly called "The Dream Child" It included: Dead Weather Live @ Third Man Split Color 12" Dead Weather Live Encore 7" Dead Weather Live @ Third Man DVD I have a couple of rare Third Man pressings and other things for possible trade, and would be interested in just buying it too. Thanks for looking!
  19. Not available on Amazon anymore. People already have it up in the marketplace for $69.98!!! I knew I was gonna regret not preordering...
  20. I think most people I know are aware of how much vinyl I buy myself so decided to not really buy me much for Xmas...but I did get: Daft Punk - Homework
  21. I'm still lukewarm about it. It's not bad, but not jump right out at me fantastic either. But in a way, that may be more promising? Afterall, when all I had heard of Cassadaga was "Four Winds," I thought, wow this is gonna be a GREAT album....and it was not. Not awful...but the lead single was not indicative of the rest of the album.
