you seem defensive about that, but it's really only a good ~business decision. I can't imagine they'll press lots of these (e.g., how big is the market for live albums?), so it'll likely be (a) ~rare and (b) able to be sold for a profit sometime down the road. I wouldn't judge anyone who buys an extra copy with the intent to flip as anything other than ballsy (if this is more than $200, it's a pretty expensive gamble).

are you referring to the physical component? I didn't order it myself, but I think people started receiving their orders in mid-August

I mainly mean the slow drum beat. that + the sudden chaotic guitar riff kinda reminds me of some of the "closer" remixes that NIN did (e.g., the one that plays during the opening credits of Se7en)

I ordered an ~hour after the Facebook post, and I've already got a tracking number for my shipment.

I'd also try recording in Audacity to see if it's only recording on one channel.
That said, when I first bought my Bose headphones, the sound only came out of the left speaker. Then I realized I hadn't plugged the cable in all the way... so maybe check that, too

completely unrelated note, but since this thread has already been bumped, I just wanted to say that I'm digging Alessandro's new album, Avanti. I've had a bit of trouble getting into some of his other albums, but I've liked Avanti from the start.

btw, if anyone else ordered TVW from the NIN store, my package arrived today (despite never receiving a shipping notice). it was packed in a regular mailer and wrapped in bubblewrap (mailed from Texas, as I recall).
if it wasn't for the fact that I was also able to get a copy from Best Buy for $14, I think I'd be ~fully satisfied with this Sandbag experience.

I don't really remember how things looked before lasik, so I don't remember if it's worse than when I had glasses. But yes, the night halos are still there.
On a lighter note, I remember how I had just started playing Guitar Hero when I had lasik -- I had to use eye drops between every song because I wouldn't really blink while playing and my eyes would get super dry. Good times

I remember the first time I was in the shower after lasik and was like "wait a minute, I can *see* in here!" and then when I went to bed -- "I can see the clock!"
what's funny is that even though I got lasik nearly 10 years ago, I still have to pause every now and then and remember that I'm not wearing glasses.

I've never learned how to upload pics on this site, but:
- BB mailer was the same one I've received for the last year or so. oversized ~amazon-style folded-cardboard protection inside of a ~flimsy sticky cardboard mailer. as with all of my past BB orders, everything looks great.
- TVW packaging has the American soldier on the front and the Vietnamese person on the back. The jacket is not a gatefold, but is wide enough for 3 records (each in thick looking inner sleeves)
I haven't opened mine yet because I'm still waiting for my NIN.com order to ship(...), so I will probably wait to see which copy I open and which copy I leave sealed
