  1. i'm fine with this, because it's a baphomet and i like evil stuff. i want to wrestle that xchristinex girl that commented on half the pictures on florian's myspace. she just looks annoying.
  2. pittsburgh wins 1-0 because its too hard for these guys to get shots off haha.
  3. pg. 99/enemy soil split, ericxthexred actually gave this to me. as far as good luck goes, i mean i guess this is good. carry on - roll with the punches 7". found this in a bin at a show last night, $8. can't find this anywhere. cant remember much else that i bought this year. really.
  4. carry on - roll with the punches down to nothing - s/t on white pulling teeth - vicious skin on clear.
  5. it drives me insane when people frame records. does not compute.
  6. Crime In Stereo - ...Is Dead. Why? Because it's just so good, compared to everything else that came out this year. It's not a punk or hardcore record at all, it just flows and makes me feel awesome. Runner up was: Paramore - Riot!
  7. the two times ive seen isis, i've seen a few older guys with white hair in business suits hanging out buying cds and watching them real intently. my dad isn't like an audiophile or anything, like some of those guys probably are, but he doesn't really take much away from my music ever haha.
  8. happened to be putting on panopticon and he came over to clean some stuff in my grandfather's studio. so he's heard the entire thing, and he wants me to make him cds now. soooooo awesome.
  9. i've never read rollins. but i figured similar subject matters to some degree.
  10. basically. you take an image, and you separate the colors of the image. you print out the separated colors onto films (remember overhead projectors? clear paper with stuff on it, basically like that) you put the films on different screens, of which come in varying mesh counts, depending on how much ink you want pushed through, lower the mesh count more ink goes through, higher the mesh count, the less ink goes through. the screens are coated with light-sensitive emulsion. once the films are places on each respective emulsified screen you expose them, either in an exposing unit (large box with a light that shines x amount of brightness for x amount of time) this exposes the emulsion to light, and hardens it, where the image is on the film, is not exposed (as much) and can be washed out, which is the next step. washing out the image on the film. you then put the films on whatever press you please. there are different types of registration marks, most commonly where i work, crosshairs. you center the registration marks of one screen to a palette making sure that the entire image fits on the palette so as not to create errors in the printing process. you use whatever tightening apparatus is on your press (pneumatic clamps, manual knobs, etc) you then line up the other screens to the first screen, til the job is lined up. run a test before you fuck up. and go at it. plastisol ink has to be cured in an oven at a high temperature, this is the t-shirt ink. so after each shirt is done, it is sent through an oven and cured. paper printings a little different, but someone else can explain the differences, i have a head ache. also waiting for eric to tell me all the things that are wrong with my explanation.
  11. chelsea jersey. some fred perrys. evolution of a cro-magnon. all quiet on the western front. borders gift card. some teenage mutant ninja turtles toy? dude i dont know. chelsea crest poster blank cds candy organic snacks organic hygiene products some cash borders gift card itunes gift card went to borders to cash out the gift card, got: Morrissey: The Albums by Johnny Rogan (the guy who wrote Morrissey and Marr) Morrissey in Conversation: The Essential Interviews The Bhagavad Gita.
  12. I don't know about Henry Rollins. But The Evolution of a Cro-Magnon by John Joseph is a fun intense 5 hour listen and the book is over 430 pages. He talks about growing up, his experience in the Cro-Mags, and his experience with Krishna stuff. It's not really super super all about hardcore/punk but it is awesome and I definitely recommend at least listening to it for free.
  13. i do what i want. i do what i want. at the initial point of having posted, id only looked at dead format a few times. it doesn't matter, it's obviously clear that i've made myself look like an ass, for posting a thread in which i just asked a few questions trying to find out what was going on with that entire spectrum of the vinyl world. was clearly not knocking on dead format.
  14. is this a funny joke they came up with? HAHAHAHA. not laughing, probably gonna find a hammer and end it all.
  15. because I'm pissed that I can't find any of the channels on tv. How come every few years the cable companies just decided to rearrange the entire fucking channel lineup? is there any reason for this? is it just to drive people like me out of my fucking mind? get better ratings for crappy channels that never get much play by changing their channel number to high volume channels? is there a competition? what the fuck, i hate this.
  16. if you want to have people pay $10 a record, i'd do this. otherwise try and do at least 500.
  17. like they were selling a lot of our shirts?! god i hope someone is already bootlegging out stuff. ryan - totally agree, fuckin record is awesome. david - why are you backing this if you kept referring to this record as the one with "the annoyin as fuck vocals" ya douche. because it's good the 5th time through, and annoying the 9th time through. and you should know i only say that stuff to piss you off. get a sense of humor, they cost 11 karma points.
  18. i have bowers and wilkins dm303s. im beyond satisified.
  19. Oh, I know. It just seems to happen that way, obviously VLV and HYE are mostly their own respective things. Like I said I'm not knocking it at all, and when I get the time, which I might just do the next 4-5 days I'm hanging out at home all day, I'll add as much as I can. I guess I just get frustrated looking for things and not having information anywhere. Which is probably just lack of care or whatever on the end of the people in bands/releasing it. I asked if anyone else was doing it, for that specific reason. Maybe it's just a certain type of people that likes to post lists/pressing information, as well. I don't know. Now I just kinda feel like I've pissed you off haha. And I didn't mean to at all.
  20. while it's an excellent resource as far as UI goes and content, it seems like a lot of these sites are geared toward people who buy a certain spectrum of music. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, and i'm not knocking the site at all. but perhaps you are adding stuff in, and some is early dischord, some is oi, some is 90's screamo, some is lesser known 90s hardcore bands on small labels that existed for 3 releases, you come across several color variants of your favorite 90s alternative rock band, colored steely dan records, and some is new hydrahead stuff, etc. i just think it all deserves to be one place where everyone can go. see the problem with HYE and VLV is that HYE is mostly hardcore records, VLV was only screamo records, and incomplete information for things like bane. etc. doesn't it all deserve it's own place?
  21. i hope the bad kitties calendar matches my expedit!!
