  1. giving it to me was a sarcastic joke. if i wanted it that bad i'd have acquired it somehow before now, when it's going to be a hot commodity. i don't doubt that it was awesome, but i also can't get past the fact that this band's hype is almost as bad as the american nightmare hype, and that the messages are questionable in comparison to the hype surrounding them in recent years. i don't have memories that relate to seeing this band, because i never did. but i have memories of a time when i thought that first record was one of the most angry things i'd ever heard and that almost all of it was exactly how i felt at the time and a lot of it reflects how i still feel. and well, quite frankly, i don't know how much i care about younger kids. no one felt positive towards me when i was first going to punk and hardcore shows, and i liked it that way. but that's an entirely different thing all together. i still retain that the first 7" was the best thing they ever did, all of the other stuff never did much for me, musically. at least. lyrically it was great, but musically lackluster. recordings also never really got through to me as much as the first record did.
  2. anyone have the pressing info on this? at all? i asked when i was at fueled the other day and they didn't seem to know what was going on, so i can't trust the 1500 on their site.
  3. you can just give that to me. seeing as it's the only thing they ever did that was worth listening to, and i didn't go to the show in Chicago, because I'd rather keep the memories I associate with this band and not replace them with a bunch of rich fly-by-night "hardcore kids" singing songs about themselves.
  4. my old label had absolutely nothing more than a myspace page. they sent me an email asking to trade, and i did it a few times before we went under. nice people, on top of their shit like you wouldn't believe.
  5. Since September of 06, I have been a screen printer, through April 07 ericxthexred was my boss, and as of November 07, he is just my superior/the guy I flick off all of the time. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I hate it. I prefer it over other jobs because it is a lax atmosphere, and something I can do most of the time, without too much effort. It makes me too tired, I smell really bad when I get home, I get ink everywhere, the lack of A/C at the new shop is starting to get to me, and the pay has never really been anything to write home about, however the hours at the pay rate make up for it. I don't know what I want to do with my life, but I guess that's why I'm going to try and balance this job and school next semester and try and figure out what I want to do. I feel like I'm at a point now, where I love the job, but I know that the time that I can really continue to be as satisfied as I once was, will come to an end, because life is becoming increasingly more demanding. I hope that at least the people that control my future at this job see my commitment and devotion and desire to help the company grow and be more involved. Time is my enemy.
  6. 7397 ashcroft houston texas 77081 you can join my club to assault xericxthexredx as much as possible ive seen him almost every single day for the past 16 months. you might be joining my club.
  7. i don't know you, but i want to high five you...or send you a christmas card and thank you for the assault on eric.
  8. it's stuck there, now. the only other stuff i have is breath strips.
  9. where does ghetto gum fall? before or after the kiddie pool (ba dum cha.)
  10. Do you work for FBR or something? eric the red and i used to, and at they are clients of ours at the new shop.
  11. i guess they must have done something right. regardless of how good any records were, they weren't a big seller, just had California going for them. I don't know, it just seems to frustrating. I feel like I want to be happy, but if this band continues to hang out and I'm spending lots of time printing their shirts and scarves, I'm just gonna be bummed.
  12. the hail to the thief double 10" sounds fantastic, if anyone cares.
  13. i don't understand this. i hope the band can score some success again, but it just seems weird, they've hung out in mediocrity for the past 5 years. it's like roadrunner signing megadeth this late in the game.
  14. wow I didn't know that. Kinda fucked up if you ask me. i cant help but laugh whenever someone thinks this is a major inconvenience.
  15. Ahhh that makes sense. After hearing that, I wont feel as bad about having to get up and picking up the arm, haha. I guess next week I'll go to the store and check out the Rega and the Pro-Ject, since it seems like there is a mixed reaction here. I'm leaning a little more towards the Rega, but I'll have to go to the store and see what I like more. my only complaint is the lid hinges kinda suck. but that's something i'll have to deal with i guess, doesn't effect the superior sound quality.
  16. you can find p1's for 350. if he's already down to spend that much, or more. why not get the for sure quality. i had this debate too, and opted to go for the p1.
  17. there is another kid who is currently in Mass at college, that won't have a list for me til holiday break the end of next month. but it'll probably be similarly as good, unfortunately, he won't sell his pg99 or piebald stuff, or i'd really be scoring.
  18. im probably gonna give him a buck fifty or two. considering he has a bunch of other stuff, too. and i'll have a duplicate of the rise and fall misprint cover. which im really excited about.
