  1. i was really bummed with the quality of this on 180g, i was fortunate enough to get one on the tour, and when i got my good set-up, i was super unimpressed. im not sure how it sounds on regular weight vinyl, but personally i just make this face :/
  2. as long as have heart is on b9, they'll be the best label. but listening to have heart is just like listening to a blender.
  3. i lost records and found them later when i only had 600 records to lose and no where to put them in my room. on a relevant note. i wonder if i could exchange the copy i bought when i saw the loved ones, because it has skipped since the first time i played it.
  4. how bigs the pelican? can i just give you a jackson for that and the ben sherman?
  5. mine is a law student, always spoutin off legal stuff.
  6. Well...that...just...blows... Where did you hear this from? promoter. updated word is that it is being worked on at the backbooth, but by a non-sketchy promoter. so perhaps. i'll let you know as soon as i know.
  7. These receivers are 30+ years old and the Marantz of today is not the same company it was then (it was bought out by Pioneer or something). I really doubt they'd be able to provide customer support for these. Check this site out, they have a lot of good info on these vintage Marantz units. Maybe check under tips-n-tricks or try emailing them to see if they know of a fix if the info isn't on the site. http://classic-audio.com/marantz/mindex.html did not know that, thanks. i havent checked out too much of that site before, just for pictures and stuff. i wish i could talk to the guy that i bought it from, but their shop is open by appt only now and that sucks.
  8. DUDE UPDATE YOUR LIST! you still have records on there you traded to me over a year ago. ...tisk tisk IM SO LAZY AND BUSY. FUCK OFF FATTY.
  9. word is that the tour is no longer coming to florida, at all.
  10. What's even weirder is who listens to both Fall Out Boy AND Skrewdriver. oh noes. not being narrow minded! http://howsyouredge.com/swap/display.php?page=911 tell me what other combos i listen to that are weird!
  11. you mean an amp that requires a preamp? interesting. well, considering i got the marantz for free from my father [along with his turntable] i figure ill stick with it until it completely craps out. thanks for the info well, i suppose in a small way its good that im not alone with my problem. do you think it can be helped by cleaning the contacts? i have no idea. from what i understand it just happens. wouldn't hurt to call marantz and ask what can be done about it.
  12. talk to Dave about Cave In. I met Shannyn Sossamon once, I can't remember the conversation we had, but she came back to my friend and i and asked for a cigarette, I'm pretty sure by that point my boner was visible. Pete Wentz also told me "nice hoodie" in reference to a Converge hoodie i wore to a fall out boy show 5 years ago. I think my favorite celebrity conversation story is one I heard about Kirsten Dunst, somewhere on the internet many moons ago. At some point after the release of Spider-Man, this guy that this happened to was in line at a cookie store in NYC, let's call it the Great American Cookie, he's standing in line, waiting to get his delicious cookie, and Kirsten Dunst walks in and stands behind him. This man waits patiently in line until it's his turn, he orders his cookie, which I believe was a sugar cookie, but it's really not important, and he retreats to a table alone, to eat the cookie and perhaps watch the people walking by and contemplate all that is. A few moments later, as he's eating his cookie and having his moment, the chair across the table from him squeaks across the floor a bit, he looks up, and there sitting down with him, is Kirsten Dunst, smile on face, cookie in hand. They exchange "Hello"'s and in the awkward silence that follows when a beautiful famous actress who's most recent role was the epiphanic emobodyment of the girl next door, the boy's mind more than likely racing with questions, "Why me? Kirsten Dunst, my table? What do I do?" and Kirsten perhaps thinking how embarrassing this could be, what if they just exchange hello's and nothing more? What if she just becomes a story, a brief blip in this boy's life, how does she proceed from here? Suddenly a phrase so perfect and adorable pops into Kirsten's head, she looks up from the cookie that she has probably been nervously taking tiny little pieces off, to deal with the quiet anxiety of the situation, holds her cookie proudly at eye-level, and out escape 3 of the most beautiful words, short of "I love you", a man could ever hope to hear Kirsten Dunst say to them and genuinely mean..."We Got Same-sies". The boy gets up, pushes in his chair, and walks away.
  13. this tour I think was just booked in the last 3 weeks, my friend is doing it in pittsburgh and he told me he got asked to do it a couple weeks ago. what happened in orlando? sketchy promoter. http://www.cflhardcore.com/board/viewforum.php?f=17, since it's in a public forum of it's own for the world to see. it was offered to the promoter in tampa, he and i have been discussing it back and forth, so i guess there's still some confusion regarding where this will be in florida, though i am very much under the assumption that since there is a lack of promoter in orlando, right now, i think tampa's where it's going.
  14. I am fairly positive that the show in Orlando will be in Tampa, instead. As per certain things that have happened with Orlando in the past few months. I will double check.
  15. we saw it at vinyl fever. i was curious if that had come up again.
  16. I've never heard of that law before... hm. like I said it could be bullshit...I looked briefly but didn't find anything.
  17. One of my local shops has two Skrewdriver LPs. Can't remember what they're called though. I'd be willing to pick them up for you though. What?! I haven't double checked, but I was under the impression, still that there was a law in Canada that ownership of an RAC record could land you in jail? Maybe that's just BS or an old law. But definitely if you could give me names and prices, I'd be down.
  18. eric, did you ever get around to getting the box set?
  19. about 300/400 im not at home right now to count.
  20. Since I was about 7 or 8, when I had to read Number the Stars for school, and as simultaneously doing a 400-page year long report/presentation on what my Grandfather did in the war, I've been entirely fascinated with Nazism, the Holocaust, etc. When I got into punk and found out RAC and Tampa's individual history in whatever WP "Movement" I became more fascinated. It's a perversion of mine to collect RAC records and paraphernalia. However, I figured it not too outlandish of a thing to ask, being someone that owns records from both artists, that perhaps someone else did, as well.
  21. Sammy Triple B is a backed dude, and I'm super stoked to see he's kept going with his label.
  22. So I recently lost my job, and could use a little bit of moneyz. I have one more of these, and have no use for it. As extra incentive, I will sell my copy of TTTYG the Director's Cut along with it, if it helps boost the cost. It was only opened and played once, because I forgot I had a normal copy of the cd, it was promptly put back in it's case and cardboard slide case and put on a shelf. Will sell separately if the price is right, and will throw in some extra stuff as well. PM me offers. Will only consider trading for: Hum - Downward is Heavenward on Blue Refused - This Just Might Be The Truth any Skrewdriver records besides Hail The New Dawn The Beatles - Yesterday & Today w/butcher cover White Whales...of course.
