buying an ION is like upgrading from a piece of shit to the whole shit. i'm just not a fan of belt drive plastic turntables. if you really want to invest in your vinyl, get a nice direct drive table from a reputable company (Numark, Sony, Technics, etc). Otherwise you will be replacing belts and listening to your records slow down for the rest of time.

There are many different hobbies where you're correct. Vinyl is not one of them. CLASSIC vinyl is not one of them but niche vinyl (punk, hardcore, metal, indie, etc) fluctuates wildly.

I bought them last week as well. I also purchased the set of 5 from vc because I made the same decision as you. I really love collecting get up kids records, but completeing the collection is going to take a while despite already owning alot of it. I figured I needed to find a band that: is currently putting out new music on the vinly format. that has pressed previous releases (especially with mulitple pressings, but not a shitload). won't cost hundreds of dollars to complete their full collection. doesn't have a huge back catalog to collect. will most likely continue to press records for a good bunch of years. MTB seem to fit perfectly so I've been picking up all their stuff I can find. then where's the challenge? ha.

$9? damn. i say it gets repressed but maybe in another year or two. 'no heroes' is still too recent to put out another repress. it will come out, be on four colors, and sell out within the week. just my guess.
