I imagine they are going to tell you to contact where you bought it. Most of the time when there are pressing issues like that, that's the route they tell you to take. We don't even know if the same company that pressed the 2012 run is who is pressing this run. I'm not saying you shouldn't try if you really want to but given that it's been damn near a decade, I would not expect them (and we don't even know who the "them" is here) to do anything.

You should have demanded better back in 2012. Do you really think they are going to do something now?

Everything I've read about these newer releases says that issue was fixed. I can't imagine they are going to do anything for those of us who have the 2012 release though.

Checked mine today and says I'll get it Thursday! At least that's something. I don't love 11 days between the shipment email and someone actually picking it up but as long as it is on the way...

Has your clear copy actually moved? I got the shipping notice but there has been zero update on the tracking. I did get two Ten Club 7s along with two new copies of Deep though.

I missed out on the note but still got one of the deluxe copies. The vinyl is beautiful. Kind of want to track down the Matador exclusive pressing too.

And like I said, unless the WEB version is somehow different than the vinyl, it is the original.

If the WEB version is the same as what is on the vinyl, Frontier Psychiatrist IS the original version but none of the other samples people were hoping to be restored are restored.

I know the album that well and it still doesn't bother me to hear the non-original mixes.

This is where I stand. I've never understood those who say that the album is somehow fundamentally different because of a few seconds of missing samples. Agreed that if you already have it and don't feel like dropping another $80, I get it. That being said, I'm still going to cross my fingers that a few of the samples are restored. But like you said, who knows if the band even knows what we're talking about anymore. Ha.

I couldn't even check out with it a few minutes ago but I was able to now. I'm fine with not getting a note.

For whatever this is worth, on their Instagram, I asked "Does anyone know if this has all of the original samples restored?" and they "liked" my comment. Of course, that's not confirmation but it was some sort of acknowledgment. I currently have three copies of this album on vinyl (one from 2004 I believe, the 2012 "blue wave" version and the 2017 blue indie exclusive) and I'm going to have to listen to them closely tomorrow to see what differences there are. If what people said in this thread so far is true, the 2012 blue wave version SHOULD have the original Frontier Psychiatrist but the other two should not (unless my 2004 version is also a UK copy). Otherwise, the samples should be the same between all three copies and the following note which is on Discogs should be true. To be clear, what we're all hoping for is that this deluxe version contains the OG Frontier Psychiatrist AND also has the the above samples also included, right? Just want to make sure we're on the same page about the "original mix" and what it really means.
