I had shot the guys an e-mail a few weeks back to order the split 7" & ask if they had any more plans to record (other than the LP)....Got a reply saying the band had called it quits: "shorebirds broke up last week so they're not gonna be interestd in putting out any more records beyond the LP that'll be out in a few months, thanks for the offer though." Shenanigans? Unfortunately not.... B

Sucks but true! Good job they'll be releasing the full length later this year, as the 7" has hardly left my record player! Hopefully Matt will rise again in some other guise...why does he break up bands just as they begin to get noticed? Best of luck to 'em!

Fuck yeah with the Springtime comment! 'Not A Day Goes By' is amazing! Personal fave order: 1) Mush (the basis for all HWM-esque bands today...A CLASSIC!) 2) HWM Split 3) The Last 4) Minx 5) Cherry Knowle 6) Dog Disco 7) Horsebox The singles are all awesome too, but if you can get hold of any of Frankie's acoustic releases, buy them! Am definitely looking forward to this, but am worried (like some others) that the shares will sell out VERY quickly - This would be exacerbated if people bought more than one share (e.g. to flip to others who missed out!)...To stop this, will you be imposing a one share per person limit? A double-edged sword: You want to raise as much money as possible to cover costs, but you also don't want unscrupulous people profiting off of other VC users.... (sorry about that...anxious rant over!) B

Was wondering if anyone can help shed some light on this/has one to sell or trade? I seem to remember back in the mists of time (before 'nu rave' and Decaydance) that FBR put out some pretty sweet releases. One promo item that I always liked the look of (and please correct me if i'm imagining this) was a 'Noodle Box'/Chinese Takeaway set that included a 'menu' of early releases, a napkin, etc - much like the LTJ Pie Tin. The reason I may be imagining this is that there is absolutely no mention of it whatsoever on the web! I know FBR don't shout about their earlisest releases (Guess they don't consider them cool anymore?!?), but I really cannot find any info on this.... ...Any ideas?
