Yeah, this comes to like 60$ CAD with exchange rate and shipping. No way. I'll hope it comes to amazon.ca or my local shops get some (though I don't imagine that'll happen to be honest, since the last BMSR was only sold through their bandcamp and webstore, far as I can tell).

Located in Ottawa, Ontario. I know of one retailer here (Planet of Sound) that sells turntables other than Crosleys. Any suggestions for a specific make? Not picky with features. Just looking for something that won't ruin my records and is under 300$ Canadian.

Hi there. I purchased an Audio Technica LP60 around a year ago. 1) I've heard some discussion that I should upgrade to a different model (LP120, or Orbit etc), and that the amount of force applied to records by the LP60 can actually damage my records over time. Is this true? 2) Recently, I've noticed that my records appear to be playing significantly quieter, and with more of an emphasis on lows, rather than mids and highs. Is something like this typically/ever caused by problems with the needle or cartridge? Should I get either replaced? Thank you.

Just wondering because i'm in Canada and if local shops don't have a copy I'll have to pay a fortune to have one shipped from the states.

My order from cargodirect ended up costing a fortune but is the colored version. Off-topic, but aren't colored vinyl supposed to sound worse than standard black ones?

I could be wrong, but isn't it fair to assume that a larger/more secure means of packaging would be used to send content to a major distributor who (likely) has hundreds of orders? Rather than using the same mailers for consumers who have ordered a single copy?

I ordered Friday from CargoDirect and received a shipping noticed Monday, if this helps at all. That being said, according to here and discogs, a few people had their copies damaged in transit. If I were you, I'd order from Amazon at this point.
