  2. Took my mom to the irs office. 2hrs down and several more to go... if anyone is in sarasota, fl area feel free to bring me some Cuban food for lunch. I will be here a while.

    too far from me, sorry

We didnt fake a moon landing with that kind of attitude. I believe in you. Just be mindful, there were some accidents on 75 south.

  3. On the fourth episode of Making a Murderer right now. I don't know what to think yet. It's very well done, but it's also very much trying to force you to take a certain side. It's not crazy to think Avery might actually have murdered her. But there are still six episodes left of this for me to decide.

4 episodes in. You are right, it certainly has a bias. However, the story is getting really interesting, especially after the 5th episode. The locals were hell bent on this guy, but at the start the evidence against him was pretty compelling. They have yet to fully discuss all the physical evidence in detail, specifically any remains. That would be the hardest thing for the defense to counter.

    Plus, those accents...

  4. Anyone else checking out The Expanse on syfy? Interesting so far but only two episodes in personally. It has a lot of promise.

Yeah. The 1st four episodes are online and just powered through them. I read the books so i was stoked on watching this. It's getting good. Not sure, if you read the 1st book, but it seems to be following it fairly faithfully. It's got it work cut out for it with trying to capture the complexity of the space-o-political climate and interpersonal relationships, while telling 3 "separate" stories at the start. However, i am pleased. I wasn't too thrilled on actor playing Holden at first, but he's growing on me. In the book Chrisjen swears up a storm, so sadly, we she wont be dropping any F-bombs on SyFy. The person who does her voice in the audiobook is awesome. There are only ten episodes in the season, so it should be an intense pace if they plan on covering all the main plot points in the whole 1st book.

  5. Was this from ajhall04? If so, thanks! i dig these records. Also, Wolfpack!

I was not familiar with Early Graves or Hidden Masters. Early Graves is fast heavy hardcore while Hidden Masters is a Scottish psychedelic rock band. Both Good Stuff. Thanks! This came from Durham. I used to live in Raleigh, it is a small world.

    Early Graves - Red Horse 12" - White /200

    Hidden Masters - Of This & Other Worlds 12" - Black /300

I am a huge MBD fan. However, i did not own "Who Will Survive..." on vinyl until now. Thanks so much! It was sent from CO and sender has attended the Stanley Hotel shows. I am jealous. I was not familiar with Spitfire or Accident Prone. Spitfires is screamy hardcore and Accident Prone is more punkish HC from Norfolk.

Murder by Death - Who Will Survive... 2x12" - Black & White

    Spitfire - Self-Help 12" - Black /100 with Demo 7" /300

    Accident Prone - Idle Hands 7" - Black /250

Did this happen to be from seangj? and possibly my early gift too?? I need to hone my reading comprehension skills...

  7. Judging by the bands on the mixes, the location, and the overall vibe... My SS is deadreckoning! Dude! Thank you so much! I'm excited to dive in with all of this music and the other stuff is rad too!

Here's a quick rundown of the gifts I received:

Hesher - DVD - I was not aware that this movie existed, but I am so stoked to watch it!

Pleasure Leftists - The Woods of Heaven LP - again, not familiar, but I just listened to "You You" and I'm excited to hear the rest!

The King of New Orleans - I dig JYD and I've heard stories, but I've never gotten to know him too well. This will be a fun read!

Love Letter - game - little games like this are a lot of fun! This had been on my radar, but I don't have it yet!

Book of 5 mix CDs, different genres - Wow! Seriously, this is amazing! So much new (to me) stuff! I have a feeling I'm gonna like a lot of this.

Fossil scallop shells from Calvert Cliffs, MD! Sweet!

Some random stickers and whatnot. Laughs and smiles ensued.

And now for a few pictures...

Thanks so so so much, again! I hope my SS likes their gifts as much as I enjoyed receiving these! Merry Christmas!

Spot on. I assumed i was pretty incognito around here (like a douchey ninja); however, i have been pushing the awesome of the Pleasure Leftists LP. I hope you dig the music. Full Disclosure: my wife helped me put together the CD booklet, i.e., she folded all the paper. She's crafty. I still think it needs another disc to fully round it out...

  8. I don't know the particulars, but my original SS had some issues and had to bow out. I hope everything is ok and wish them all the best. I did receive a mystery package a few days ago (pic is above in this thread), which may or may not have come for them If so, thanks! In the last several days i received four packages sent from across the county by four kind souls who stepped in for the original SS. That is awesome and speaks to the sense of community within VC. I want to thank Mike and everyone involved in the SS effort. This is my 1st year participating and will be sure to continue my involvement. I cant wait to see if my SS liked what i sent. Now on to the pictures

A gameboy advantage with a super mario bros. I just rocked this out and smashed some koopas. Mario does not seem to like turtles... I think this is from tellallyourfriends based on the fact that he is the only person i know in Palpatine, IL.

I need to give everything a full spin, but is there an Accident Prone - Futurama connection? Thanks to the sender! I will have lots a Xmas vinyl to spin and annoy my Justin Timberlake loving wife.

This is an OG press of Murphy's Law first record. Plus, it was once owned by someone in the Warzone Crew. Awesome. I have never had a vinyl copy of this sweet album. I remember hearing it on WSOU in middle school. I used to record the show (as i would often fall asleep - it was on late on a school night) and then make mix tapes of favorite songs. Ahh, the days before the internet and discretionary income. Jimmy G. is a funny guy and Murphy's Law always put on a great live show. Thanks! and much jersey love to the sender.

Happy Holidays and all the best to Kith and Kin! I would love to personally thank all the senders. Feel free to get in touch.

  9. I haven't, but it's because I'm a fuck up.  I moved in August and I put my new address but the my old zip code.  I called the post office where the package is to see what I could do, but they said that I just need to be patient and eventually it will find its way to my doorstep.

I've done the same thing before with shipping things to work, but putting down my home zip code. It eventually got here a month or two later. Worst case it will be returned to the sender if they cant suss it all out.

  10. Ok. Cannon novels, where can I find a list of them? I understand something fills in the gap between VI and VII

I think Aftermath is the one that is supposed to fill the gap between VI and VII.  I was thinking about reading it but the Amazon reviews are less than kind.

Someone already posted a link i think, but here is Wikipedia's - take https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars_canon

The have the mp3 audiobook of Aftermath at my local library. i have it on hold. Hopefully, it will be at least decent.

  11. The difference between this one and 4 is that this one is written with future movies in mind, so it allows pieces to be questionable.

the fact the senate and government was blown up makes me think that shits about to get out of haaaaaaand

I missed that - One of the blown up planets was the current governmental seat of the new republic. After a quick google search i ran across this quick explanation. http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2015/12/18/what-the-hell-is-the-story-with-the-resistance-and-the-first-order-in-the-f

  12. Loved the movie to death. But found it weird that Rey and Leia were hugging it out at the end without even knowing each other.

yeah, i thought the same thing. They supposedly had never met, but did the whole teary eyed stare and long embrace thing. However, Leia was the only human old enough to Han's wife in the whole movie. So maybe Rey is just excellent at inductive reasoning.
