Scored a Team Sleep on Discogs for 49.99. I was pretty late to the party so I don't mind a small premium.

Also saves me a trip to the store at ungodly hours to wait in line in hopes of MAYBE securing a copy.

I do feel bad for not supporting local, but I might just continue to do RSD online from now on...

Yup, my time is too valuable, especially now that I have a kid. I was able to get almost everything I wanted pretty close to what I would’ve paid in stores. I’ll pop into a couple of locals soon with my Dad and Sister on a not so busy day and we’ll give them some business then.

  2. So a buddy of mine and I saw Head Automatica the other night in Seattle, which was very sparsely attended. I’m not even a fan of the band but my buddy is and he was pretty disappointed by the performance (they only played for an hour and the opening band Foxy Shazam blew them off the stage). Anybody else see this tour? Tickets were $75 and the tour was hardly promoted so I’m not surprised by the small attendance.

yeah that's a huge flex tbh, putting an instrumental as track 2 on a short album. i find myself skipping it, the Kisses single, and the 7 minute song that just repeats the same synth arp and thinking of it as a great EP :D

Kisses is a catchy track but it sounds too much like something off of the s/t album. Agreed though, if they cut a couple of tracks it would be an amazing EP.

BRAD Featuring Shawn Smith and Stone Gossard reissue of classic 1993 album SHAME. This 30th Anniversary album has been remastered. Recorded in October 1992 in 17 days at Avast Recording in Seattle Washington. featuring soft, nocturnal rock, giddy rhythms and glossy funk jams.  Smith is an unusual vocalist even without the grunge influences of Brad’s circle of friends, like Gossard and Jeff Ament’s Green River or Regan and Andrew Wood’s Malfunkshun, Smith’s honeyed falsetto starts to sound like the song of another species altogether.

WELCOME TO THE LOOSEGROOVE RECORDS STORE (brooklynvegan.com)

Picked up the blue vinyl yesterday from a local shop and it sounds great. I slept on this album for too long, what a gem.
