I was going to grab one of those 'TDAGARIM' but USD$45.00 shipping to Australia is a bit off tap. I know it's Gatefold 2x180gram LP but I just received a beautifully packed vinyl mailer from someone on the board that contained one gatefold 180gram 12" LP, two average weight 12" LPs & a 10" test press for USD$17.92 (on the postage sticker). -

Will MTS be able to ship their version outside of the USA & Canada? Us Aussies love your releases but dread the stress involved in getting some of your products through all the red tape. -

WTB: Man Overboard/Transit SPLIT (Blue)
carrythezero replied to carrythezero's topic in Sale/Trade/Wants
from NO SLEEP MAILORDER date Wed, Sep 15, 2010 at 9:22 AM subject Re: Transit/Man Overboard Split hide details Sep 15 (5 days ago) we have blue i think sorry My response was back on September 3rd so I've emailed them again and they're going to confirm what colour they've got left but again I was told that they believed it was Red. Fingers crossed it's Blue! How'd you go with picking up a White, did you try Merchnow? -
I've been getting the same error from the site for the past two days too I twittered Tom this morning regarding so hopefully he gets back to me. If it's not up in the next day or so, I might order it through www.poisoncityrecords.com as they're showing they'll have to available in-stock from today.

Emailed them about three weeks ago and they only had one left and it was 'Red' unfortunately. How long ago did you contact them? As for the White pressing, I believe 'MerchNow' still have some copies in-stock -

Unfortunately mine has still yet to arrive, emailed the guy and he's going to issue a refund so at least that'll be sorted. Bit bummed though as I did want a copy and looks like I've lost out despite being having ordered it a day or two after it went up back in March -

Thanks for the response, Tim only has Red in the store (which is good since it's the second most limited) but I've already got that one. It's a great split, you'll really enjoy it! -
Hi, I'm chasing the Blue pressing of the Man Overboard/Transit split. If can help me out with selling me a copy, I'd be most appreciative. I have a spare Red I could trade if necessary. I know this is highly doubtful but if anyone has a test of it they'd be willing to part with, please message me also

Run for Cover-More problems

I met Jeff tonight at 'Fireworks/The Swellers/Man Overboard/Transit' show in Chicago, he was a really great guy. I've had nothing but great experiences with the label thus far but I definitely suggest emailing him again as he may be out on the road at the moment with the tour. -
ARROWS new song + album art
carrythezero replied to hobbledehoy's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Another mysterious Melburnian... I'll definitely do a LP & CD package for those after a bargain! I've done away with pre-orders, at least into the foreseeable future. I think it's nicer not waiting a month (or two, three or more...) for a record. Pre-order culture is getting a little silly, this way it's fairer to the retailers + distributors that support what we're doing and I don't get (as many) emails from people asking where their records are... even though I ship out 3+ times a week. It means the bands can sell a bit more on the road too. I didn't run a pre-order with Jamie Hay's 7" that came out this week, and I'm glad I waited. Good news, as I'm leaving for OS this Friday through September 8th so I won't miss out on a pre-order for this I'm Jarret btw, we've conversed via the email yet never met...seems any time I'm in Poison City records you're not, still working there yeah? -

Hey Tom, When's the pre-order going up on the site and are you likely to do a CD/Vinyl package deal? -
I ordered a 12" & 7" from Panic Records (http://panicrecords.net/) on June 23rd, they arrived just over a week later which was pretty speedy for an international order. However the 12" wasn't what I ordered (obvious mispack at their end), I emailed them and after a week of not hearing back from them, I raised a dispute with Paypal. Only after I raised the dispute did I hear back from them and they advised me to send the 12" back and they'll send the correct one out. They've advised they'll cover the media mail once they receive the LP back, only thing is since I'm overseas there's no Media Mail, only international mail. The record they sent me mistakingly is only USD$9.99 on their site, the one I was to receive was USD$11.99 and they want me to pay USD$15.00 to send this record back to them? When I said I would send the record back provided they did refund the shipping for that and dispatch the correct record I got no response. It's been a week and a half now with no response and when I escalated the claim with Paypal, it immediately won out in the favour as apparently Paypal don't cover these type of things. Just curious if others have had similar experiences with this label as it's pretty pathetic. As now I'm now out roughly USD$22.00 and stuck with a record I didn't order.

Box Car Racer LP @ Hot Topic
carrythezero replied to travis's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I sent an email to 'Hot Topic Online (HTO)' the morning I got the rejection email for my order placed the day prior. Ralph HTO responded to that email last night with the following: "Thanks for emailing Hot Topic. I have looked further into our inventory and unfortunately we havecompletely sold out of the Box Car Racer LP. Typically, if an item ispopular, we may receive some more in the future, but it really depends onthe vendor. Sometimes they will only make a certain amount and once theysell out, they won't make anymore. You will not be charge for the LP's or the shipping. If you see a pendingauthorization charge on your account, it will be gone in 3-5 business days.I do apologize for the inconvenience Jarret. Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with." However in between me sending that email and Ralph HTO replying, I placed another order as the item went back up online. Once I placed the order I sent HTO another email basically saying that I'd placed another order and please only honor one of them to which I received a response also from Andy HTO... "Thanks for emailing HotTopic.com!!! Thank you for shopping online! I havelooked into your request and it appears as though someone has alreadyassisted you with this issue. If I am incorrect please reply to this emailwith a detailed description of your request so I may help you further. If there is anything else we can assist with please do not hesitate to ask." That said I received a shipping notification for my second order around the time both Ralph & Andy were responding to my emails. Long story short, the customer service sucks but at least I'm getting my records based on the good people of this board for giving me constant heads up, cheers folks and thanks Travis for getting some more stock to the online warehouse -

Wonder if it's worth trying again. It'd be rubbish if they are selling it again without honoring their initial orders though... -
Far "At Night We Live" vinyl release date
carrythezero replied to tannerbnd's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
I'm guessing that's the Vagrant 2LP black pressing, I got my Vagrant 2LP blue at the start of June. If you have trouble trying to get a hold of the Vagrant pressing, go the Artic Rodeo press as I believe that's still in circulation plus it has two bonus tracks and copies with a copy on CD in a digipack. -

You might be best to do a search on this board for existing threads as there's likely to still be active links to the pressings out there. Vagrant did a pressing with one limited colour & regular black while a European label 'Artic Rodeo' also did a pressing with several variants. -

I just got the rejection email then too. Waited patiently for it to go online, once it does, place my order immediately and miss out. Thanks to the flippers out there pillaging all the stock from stores, us lowly overseas folk miss out online. Disappointed with 'Hot Topic Online' though, understandably they would have had a huge influx of orders but they should've tried a little harder to fulfil those orders
